    Arthur’s opinion and teasing

     

                    “Spencer!” My father cried in surprise when I walked into the living room of my old house the next morning.

                    “Hey, can I talk to you? Is Mom home, she needs to hear it too.”

                    “She’s working late but if it can’t wait we can call her,” He said, sitting up and walking around the couch to hug me.

                    “No, it’s okay, I’ll call her tomorrow.” He nodded and I followed him into the kitchen where he poured me a cup of coffee while I sat down at the counter.                

                    “What’s going on Spencer?” He asked, looking worried.

                    “Ashley’s back in town,” His face lit up in understanding but I held up my left hand “and I’m getting married.” His brows furrowed in confusion and I smiled.

                    “Wait; are you getting married to Hugh or Ashley?”

                    “Hugh,”

                    “But you wish that it was Ashley,” I groaned when he said this and put my forehead on the table.

                    “Please don‘t psych me,” He sighed and covered my hand with his.

                    “I’m not, I just want you to be happy and even though he’s a great guy I don’t think that Hugh makes you happy.” My head snapped up at this, my father had always seemed like an avid supporter of Hugh and I. He chuckled when he saw the confusion on my face. “Listen, when you’re with him you don’t have that happiness that you had with Ashley. You literally glowed everyday that you were with her, even if you two did fight more than other couple I’ve met.” I chuckled at this, but leaned forward.

                    “I do love him, Daddy.”

                    “I know you do, but Spence I don’t want you to settle. If you want to marry Hugh then I’ll be behind you the whole way but I really don’t think that it’s the best path for you. You two might stay together for your whole lives and have ten kids but you’ll always be thinking about Ashley and wondering what would’ve happened if you would’ve gone with her instead.”

                    “Why do you have to be so smart?” I asked, making him chuckle. “I don’t want to hurt him.”

    1. thank god for arthur. the man is awesome. the whole principal and naughty school girl had me laughing hysterically. well she’s managed to tell ash and arthur, now the hard part, she needs to tell hugh! soon because now that ash knows it’s not fair to her either.. excellent update. kinda glad you were bored lol. pms!

    3. Yay, Spencer! She’s so lucky she has a father like Arthur who can serve up wisdom at the drop of a hat. Now that Spencer has told Ashley, she now needs to bite the bullet and tell Hugh. It’s going to hurt but it has to be done. PMS!

    4. i love how casually intimate they are with one another. u write them well, like their flashbacks are actual story lines fromt the show…but better cause they actually act like girlfriends in ur story. and how can u not love mr. c…i mean, come on!
