To Spashley With Love – (Chapter: Chapter Fifty)

Ashley and I were walking hand-in-hand through the streets when I saw a magazine of interest at the newsstand.  I took the magazine and looked at the cover.  “A bridal magazine caught your eye, babe?” Ashley asked with curiosity.

“Yep,” I answered as I started to flip through the pages.  Ashley put her chin on my shoulder.

“I didn’t figure you to be the like these type of magazines, hon,” noted Ashley.

“I’m not, but at least so I could have an idea of a wedding or whatever,” I pointed out simply.  “I just want our day to be special, Ash.”

“It will be special,” stated Ashley with a smile.  “I’m going to be with together for the rest of our lives together.  What’s more special than that?”

“You have a point, but we don’t even know what song will play or where or when the wedding is,” I began.  “A wedding costs money, too.”

“We’ll figure it out together,” responded Ashley reassuringly.  “I will help you out, Spence.  Worst comes to worst, I’ll ask the old married couple for a loan or something.  Don’t worry about it.”  Ashley kissed me on my cheek and noticed that I was still looking through the magazine.  “So are you going to get the magazine?”

“Yeah, I think I am,” I said with a smile.  I was about to take out my wallet to pay for the magazine, but Ashley stopped me.

“It’s on me,” replied Ashley simply.  “No questions asked.”  Ashley handed me a ten dollar bill and I went to pay for the magazine.  We walked away from the newsstand.  Ashley put her arm around my shoulder.  “Do you feel a little better?”

    “Yeah,” I stated.  “Thanks.”

“I have an idea on when we could do our wedding date to help ease the stress,” began Ashley.  “We could change it, but I just thought of it.”

“Really, you do?” I asked surprised.

“Yep,” answered Ashley with a smile.

“When should we have our wedding?” I said with curiosity.

“On the day that we first met,” replied Ashley simply.  “It was the day that I knew that I met the girl for me.  I know you were the one I wanted to be with no matter what.”  A smile formed on my lips.

“That’s a great idea, Ash,” I stated with a smile.  “It sounds like a plan to me.”  I kissed Ashley softly on her lips.  Ashley cupped my face and softly sucked on my bottom lip.  I tangled my fingers in Ashley’s curls.  Ashley pulled back from the kiss with a smile.

Later on, Ashley and I were having dinner in Ashley’s living room.  “Thank you for the meal,” I said with a smile.  I kissed Ashley sweetly on her lips.  “It was delicious.”

“No problem,” replied Ashley with a smile.  “I’m glad you enjoyed it.”

“Are you done?” I asked with curiosity.

“Yep, but I got the plates,” answered Ashley.  “I’ll be right back with dessert.”

    “You sure?” I said.

    “Yeah,” replied Ashley.
