Ashley opened the kitchen door quietly. She stepped inside the house and removed her shoes. Her heart was beating so rapidly that it felt like it was going to push its way out of her chest. She sat down on one of the barstools and was almost immediately standing again. Ashley walked to the refrigerator and pulled out a carton of orange juice. She unscrewed the top and took a long swig. She sat again, her breathing finally slowing down. She reached down and peeled the sweaty shirt from her body and pushed the carton to her lips again. She used the shirt to wipe some of the sweat from her face and chest. She was cold, her body shivering, yet she continued to sweat profusely.
Ashley sat on the still on the barstool suddenly unable to stop her eyes from closing. She drifted for a few moments barely feeling herself falling forward. At the last moment, she pushed her hand out, grabbing the edge of the counter, somehow remaining upright. She looked around the kitchen and spotted her Mom’s purse, she reached in and grabbed Christine’s wallet. She took out a credit card and went through the pockets looking for a bill. She finally found a folded hundred. Ashley pulled the bullet from her pocket and poured a much larger line then before on the counter.
She rolled the hundred and pushed it between her index and middle fingers while she cut. She bent down and quickly snorted both lines. She grunted softly, pulling and rubbing at her nose. Ashley carefully dusted the credit card with her fingers before putting it back into her mother’s purse then ran her finger slowly along the countertop and blushed, pushing it into her mouth. Ashley looked at the rolled $100.00 bill and started to put it back, but stuffed into her pocket instead. She stood up suddenly, feeling wide awake again and jogged upstairs. Christine waited until she no longer heard Ashley’s footsteps before turning the light on in the living room.

Madison woke, she could hear an insistent banging and it was driving her crazy the noise echoing the pounding in her own head. She cautiously opened one eye and was immediately assaulted by a very bright light. She closed her eye again, hoping the light and the noise would go away. “Ma’am…ma’am I need you to unlock this door, please. Ma’am are you alright?” Madison tried to open her eyes again. She blurrily looked out of her window at the blue blob outside. She pulled back from the window when a pink blob moved closer trying to peer into her face. The loud knocking continued, “Ma’am my name is Officer Jones, please unlock your door ma’am. You’re not in any trouble. I just want to make sure that you’re okay.” He paused for a moment listening to his radio, “Ma’am is this your car? Are you Madison Duarte?” Madison nodded finally opening her eyes completely.

I think I would be a card carrying member for the support group of people in love with Ashley Davies too. That is, of course, if she really existed. *sigh* Maybe I just need to get a virtual girlfriend like you all have. I think I’ll PM Caseygurl. *grins* Ok, I am so loving the drama in this story. I wonder if Spencer will notice the difference in Ash when she gets to class. Ash better get her shit straight or she may never see Spencer again. If T doesn’t kick her butt, Christine will be waiting after school. Great chappy! Please post again soon.
