    Ya Never Know… – (Chapter: Chapter 2)

“Neela she was joking.”  Ray said and Neela threw her gloves into the bio-hazard bin.  She then pulled off the yellow shroud and turned on her heels.

“You do realize that she was insinuating that you were going to be warming my bed don’t you Ray?”  Ray paled his handsome face growing serious and his eyes narrowed.

                “No?”

                “Yes.”  Neela assured him.

“Oh.”  Ray’s eyes went wide and he rubbed his stubbled chin.

“I thought that might change your perspective on things.”  Neela stormed out of the room with the doors swinging and Haleh cocked a dark eyebrow and said to Ray.

“You are un-gunned, out woman-ed and just plain old outwitted when it comes to the women in this ER Dr. Barrett.”  She walked away leaving Ray to stare at the messy room.

    ERERERERER

“We should all go out.”  Abby said and Pratt narrowed his dark eyes and gave her the once over.  He rubbed his well coiffed goatee with his long fingers contemplating Abby’s offer.  Out with the ER staff or home to a warm bed and a nice cold beer?

“Who are you talking to Lockhart?”  Pratt demanded and Abby leaned on the desk, her hair loose and she reached back to tie it again.  She let out a sigh and rolled her dark eyes.

“Us, all of us.  You know the ER crew?  I called Jing-Mei and she said yes we are going to allow the boys to come too a variation on girls night out.  I know this bar on Ash and 34th.  She’s meeting us there.  She sounded good too Pratt, she even asked if you were coming in fact.”  Abby announced and Pratt’s face was serious he pursed his lips.

“A bar huh?”  Abby nodded and Kovac walked in gave Abby a look.

“A bar?  Abby should you be going…”  He began and Abby cut him off.

“I’m a big girl Luca and Sam is coming so she can watch over me.  There is soda there and a whole lot of pool tables.”  Abby said sweetly and walked away her ponytail swinging as she bounced on her toes.

“I’m not going to miss this.”  Pratt grinned slapping a chart down on the desk pulling off his tie and darting off into the Dr’s Lounge to get his coat.

“I’m not sure this is going to be such a good idea.”  Luca said and Robbi moved over to him, handing him a few charts.

                “What isn’t a good idea?”

“Abby going to a bar, Sam going to a bar, together.  I think it might not be such a good idea is all that I am saying.”  He said with his thick sweet accent and Robbi tugged off the hair clip she’d been wearing, letting her dark blonde hair cascade down her back.

“Don’t worry big fella I’ll take care of them.”  Robbi promised sliding her silver cuff bracelet back onto her wrist and walking away but not before, she patted Luca on the shoulder.

“Now I know this is a bad idea.”
