As far as Ashley knew, something happened during Spencer’s appointment with Dr. Erickson, something that made the blonde quiet and pensive. Despite wanting to talk to her girlfriend about the experience, a nagging feeling told her it was best to leave it alone until it was brought up by Spencer herself. In the meantime, she resigned herself to showing her loyalty through touch. As she drove her Porsche through the streets of Los Angeles, she reached over the center console and threaded her fingers with that of her lover’s. It made Spencer smile softly, and Ashley couldn’t have asked for a better reaction.

“So, you wanna grab something to eat?” The brunette asked hoping she would say yes so that they could spend some time together before re-entering the maw of hell where Satan’s wife resided.

“Yeah.”

“Anywhere in particular?”

“How bout Jack in the Box.”

“Oooh! I love their curly fries!” Ashley began bouncing in her seat like a 5 year old on her 7th pixie stick which caused Spencer to laugh softly at her girlfriend’s antics.

Ashley noticed and stuck her tongue out playfully. “Don’t laugh! I know you’re a fry fiend just as much as I am.”

“Yeah I am,” she replied leaning over the center console until her lips were millimeters away from her lovers. “but I think I’m an Ashley fiend even more.”

The brunette couldn’t help but smirk seductively. The lowered tone of Spencer’s voice always made her heart skip a beat. “That was so cheesy.”

“You love it.” was all that was said before their lips met.

The car was quiet as Dano, Gideon, Aiden and their two friends, Andrew Chang from the Siu Lam and Alejandro Alvarez rode to the meeting at some random park in east L.A. All of their nerves were on end and the heavy silence was only amplifying their anxiety. None of them had wanted it to come to this, issuing an ultimatum to their sworn enemy and hoping against all odds that he would agree to it.

No one had really liked the truce to begin with but the restrictions placed on both groups were necessary to keep people alive and out of harms way. Gideon and Skinny Jim knew that they were too evenly matched to even attempt a hostile takeover of the other despite their animosity towards each other. It was the best thing they could come up with under the circumstances. Both sides needed a reprieve from street level fighting as they tried their best to avoid police crackdowns and to deal with the daily rigors of running a small army. So it was decided that the Southside Devil’s Renegades would do their own thing, while the Trent Street Mafia would do theirs and life would move on. Still, the truce had barely held up under the weight of people breaking it on both sides of the fence.
