Chapter 3

 As Ashley continued to walk towards me, I was somewhat able to gain a little composure…somewhat, “Hh-i, I-II’m Spp-penc-er.” (That’s what I mean by somewhat.. so of course I’m blushing profusely)

Ashley lightly laughed as she smiled at me, and her smile was the brightest, warmest, cutest smile I had ever seen…or have seen since that day. “Yeah, Kyla’s upstairs, but I’m sure she’ll be down in a minute. I’ve heard a lot about you though,” Ashley said as I looked into her deep brown eyes.

“Oh…Well I hope they’re good things,” I say as I watch Ashley return to sitting on the counter like she was before and I start walking over to the fridge for that coke I was still craving…especially because my throat was suddenly really dry whenever I tried to respond to Ashley. (At least my embarrassment had died down a little along with my face feeling like a normal temperature so I wasn’t blushing anymore.)

“Yeah, mostly…but I’ve heard some pretty funny stories too.” Great, just what I need the hottest girl I’ve ever talked to knowing about my dumbass past events….Scratch that. My blush is back…

Kyla comes into the kitchen just as I’m about to say something else to change the subject… when she does I finally break my eye-lock I’ve been having with Ashley as we talked.

“Haha…about that…sorry Spencer, but most of your stories about Ohio were too funny to not retell to someone,” Kyla said.

“Thanks…….so who wants to go swimming?” I ask as I make my way over to the back door in the kitchen to go to their pool…and I just really wanted to change the subject.

“Okay fine..you can change the subject now, but I want to hear more stories from you later,” Ashley said calling me out.

Just then, Ashley’s phone starts to ring, “Hello?… Yeah Madison…look I’m sorry, it was a joke…” Kyla and I just decided to go outside to give her some privacy for the rest of what started as a really exciting conversation…not.

About ten minutes later, Kyla and I are lying out by the pool just talking about nothing really just the last episode of America’s Best Dance Crew, and Ashley finally comes out too.
