Chapter 16

“Shush…you’re going to wake my parents.” I tell Ashley so she can stop laughing at some stupid joke she told.

“Oh please. If they can sleep through all that screaming you were doing last night. I’m…”

“Shut up!” I blush and punch her in the shoulder. Ok, so last night we finally had sex. After we proclaimed our love for each other over the phone and I let her in, we went straight to my bed. Both of us couldn’t wait to release that sexual tension that had been building up in us since the day we met.

Right now it’s seven in the morning. Ashley woke me up when she was getting back in bed after going to the bathroom. Some how we started joking and playing around which leads us up to now.

“I’m good. I know.” She says fixing the sheet that’s wrapped around her necked body. I just smile at her and we fall into silence for a couple of minutes.

“Are you going with me to meet Michelle and Aaron for breakfast?” I ask turning onto my back to stare at the ceiling.

“I can’t, I have to work.” She says turning onto her side. I can feel her looking at the side of my face.

“Today’s Sunday. You don’t work on the weekends.” Say confused, I know she’s not trying to blow me off after last night.

“I’m covering for Amber. She asked me to last night.” She says. I turn my head to look at her.

“Oh.” She smiles at me and leans in, gives me a kiss and rolls out of bed.

“Yeah, I should be going. Plus your parents will be getting up soon.” I just sit up in bed and watch her get dressed. The whole time we don’t say a word to each other. When she’s done she comes and sits by me on the bed.

“Um… shit.” She starts and grabs my hand, playing with it. “Did I tell you I suck about talking about my feelings?” I laugh a little. Last night she did say she’s not good at that.

“Yeah, you did.” She kisses the back of my hand.

“Um is there something you want to say about last night. I mean we can talk about it if you want to talk about it.” She rambles on.
