“I guess it needed two girls kissing to get your attention, huh?” Lena quipped.

The bartender looked embarrassed, “I’m sorry ladies, I got held up on the other side. Let me buy you a round of drinks since this has been your third trip to the bar.” He winked at Lena as he turned to fix our drinks.

“Three?!” I gasped, “How long have you guys been here?”

“Not too long,” as she grabbed her vodka cranberry from the bartender.

I tipped the guy well since we’re sure to be back for a couple more rounds.

“What’s not too long?” I asked as we headed to the table.

“Maybe about 45 minutes”

“Three rounds of vodka cranberry in that time? Babe, maybe you need to slow it down a bit. I’d love for you to have some energy after we’re done here.” I winked.

She stopped in her tracks, grabbed my arm to make me turn towards her. I almost spilled my drink as I turned.

“Excuse me? Is there something we’re doing after?” She asked seductively.

“Maybe” I teased.

Her jaw slightly dropped and a smirk formed at the corner of her mouth. This is going to be a long night.

I gave each woman a hug as we reached the table. I’ve really only hung out with Jenny and Kelly a couple of times, but they’ve been so welcoming and easy to get along with, it’s felt as if I’ve been friends with them as long as Lena has.

We toasted the birthday girl and wished her another great year. Kelly leaned towards my left ear and asked if I was able to get everything taken care of.  I smiled and nodded as I took a sip of my rum and diet.

“Thank you so much for lending me your key,” I whispered back to her.

“Are you kidding? I was more than ecstatic to. I can’t believe you guys haven’t done it yet. I’m really surprised you were able to keep it in your pants for this long” Kelly added.

“I know, I’m surprised too,” I replied back. We both laughed out loud and clinked our glasses.

Lena turned our way and asked “what’s so funny over there?”

“Nothing” we both answered, as I winked at this hypnotizing woman in front me.
