Another Left Turn: The Crush (ch5)
‘Oh God . . . oh God . . . Bette, baby . . .’
Bette came hard, arching off the bed, her climax wordless but her face poetry. Tina shuddered, heart galloping, her entire body slick with sweat. The robe stuck to her back.
‘Baby . . .’ Tina murmured. ‘Oh baby, that was good . . .’
Bette let out a small, disbelieving laugh. They’d had more sex in the past ten hours than in the last ten weeks, and quite a few more on top.
‘My head is fucking wrecked,’ she said.
Tina laughed, pulled out the toy and flopped over onto her back. They lay that way for a long minute, sweat cooling on their bellies and thighs. Eventually, Bette wiped her bruised lips and shifted so that she was on her side, looking at her wife.
‘So,’ she said, running her finger along the sticky toy. ‘My turn?’

‘Monday gets a bad rap, don’t you think?’
It was around eight a.m. and Peggy was sitting with her feet up while Alice primped the matriarch’s hair and Dylan topped up her coffee.
‘When are you going home, Mummy?’ asked Helena.
‘Haha, very good.’
Mother and daughter shared a little, twinkly smile. Dani laughed, as she sat helping Artie to find his way around a banana strip. Then Shane appeared, ambling down the path from the chalet.
‘Oh thank God, you wanna . . .?’ Alice said, indicating that she was out of her depth backcombing Peggy’s ’do.
‘Sure.’
In the great room of House 2, Tina came downstairs in her usual off-day gear and went to the counter to get her zapper and phone. She put a pot of coffee on and was looking in the fridge when she felt arms snaking around her from behind.
‘Morning,’ said Bette huskily against Tina’s ear. Then she pulled back sharply when she found the zapper. ‘Oh. You’ve got your—’
‘Yep.’ Tina grinned, then tilted her head. ‘But you can, y’know, do whatever you want to my neck.’
And Bette did, kissing and gently sucking the warm flesh exactly it made Tina squirm and giggle.
‘What are your plans for the day?’ Bette asked.
‘Uh, adunno. Usual. I have mentee stuff.’
‘I was thinking that, now that I am restored to binocular vision, we could take the horses down to the oak tree after breakfast.’
