    Chapter 10

    Chapter 10

     

    Tina arrived at her beach house feeling excited, she wanted call Bette but in the end decided it was too soon, she didn’t want to scare Bette away.

     

    So instead she decided to unpack, and put the finishing touches on her unpacking. She threw a load of clothes in the washer as she got her work suits and clothes ready to be dropped off at the cleaners.

     

    Despite Tina’s wealth she lived a very simple life, she cleaned her own house, did her own cooking, did her own grocery shopping these were the things she did to unwind forget about the stress of the office, the only real luxury was the fact that she had a driver, to drive her to and from work or to an important event, other than that as soon as her driver dropped her off at home they were done for the day.

     

    Tina decided to spend the rest of the day unpacking the few cases she had left into her closet. She decided she would call Bette tomorrow, hoping they could at least spend a day together before she had to go back to work

     

    Bette was sitting on her couch having a glass of wine, she despertly needed to study she only had to finals left then she would graduate, it was a long time coming but had finally completed her studies she wondered if her dad would even attend the ceremony, she wasn’t sure she even wanted to attend, but well that would be a decision left for another day.

    Bette decided to call her dad knowing he would probably still be at the office even at this late hour.

     

    “Porter & Porter Law offices”

     

    “Kit?” Bette asked

     

    “Hey baby sis, are you back?”

     

    “Yeah I just got back a couple of hours ago”

     

    “How were your flights?”

     

    “They were great” Bette smiled remembering Tina

     

    “What are you doing on the office so late? Is daddy working you too hard”

     

    “We have a huge divorce slash custody battle going and its getting down right ugly so we have to prepare for court tomorrow”

     

    “Ahh…… the wonderful institution of marriage” Bette said
