6 Months- chapter 11
Tina walked, she ran, that is what she did these days. She did whatever it took to escape what her life had become. Good God, the pain. It was like nothing that she had ever experienced before. The pain. It had become her mantra, “the pain, I must get past this pain.” She wanted nothing more than to be able to move past it. Did her friends realize that it was killing her? Did they know that it was eating her up inside? Did they know that it had consumed her? An all out consumption, an all out assault on her body and being that overwhelmed her? Did they know? Did they get it?
She guessed not.
She figured that they had no idea what Bette’s infidelity had done to her. She guessed that they had no idea what Bette giving her body to someone else had done to her. She knew that she should have been more kind, more forgiving. Is that the right word? Forgiving? Is that what she should have been?
Her body yearned for Bette. She did not sleep well without her; she could not get through the day without her. Her fingers picked up the phone and dialed Bette’s number, only to have her mind take over and hang the phone down. She wanted, no needed, the contact with Bette that had been lacking for the last six months. She wanted all of this and yet, was not able to give into her basic needs and desires. She knew that Bette was trying to reach out to her. She knew that Bette wanted them back, as a couple, as the entity that they had once been. Tina could not do that though and so, she ran. She ran for herself, she ran to escape the Bette that was making all of the effort and she ran for what she knew in her heart could not happen at this time.
She knew that at this time, she would never be able to forgive Bette for sleeping with someone else. Not right now at least. She knew that she would not be able to let Bette back into her life and heart, again, at least not right now. She knew a lot, but not enough to know how to lead the rest of her life. She adored Bette, and none of that had changed. How to move on? That was something that she simply did not have an answer to.
So, she ran. She ran as far and as fast as she could. Never looking at where she was going but always knowing where she had been. She ran. That was the only thing that she knew that she could do. If they only knew. If they could only feel. They would know. They would know. And they would not question her inability to forgive. They would not question her inability to forget. They would know.
She would run, and try to see through the fog that was becoming her life. “Bette, where are you? Why are you not making this all better for me?” she cried.
And so she ran.

Excellent chapter. Tina is really torturing her self mentally and physically. She is really going to feel it when she finds out that Bette has gone to N.Y. for at least 6 months or more. Can’t wait for the next chapter.
Im dieing to know what was in bette’s letter. Please write the letter in your next chapter. please please please
A new view, but so good. It was so good to see so many chapters and I like how you try to get the other’s views too. Yes, this affected all of them! I will look for updates! Great job!
I’m glad to see you didn’t listen to me about letting us hang. Can’t wait to see how they react to Bette’s departure.
so what is shannon’s part in tina’s thoughts? still there? or sent packing? nice to see into tina’s befuddled brain.
Feel for Tina.Bette started this sh/t and Tina is really in trouble. They are dealing in differeny ways. What is going to happen to Tina when she finds out Bette is gone greatchapter.
I keep saying this, but fabulous pacing. Development is made (or broken) on packing, and your is perfect!
I hope when Tina finds out that Bette is gone she remembers that she knew Bette was reaching out to her and that Bette wanted them back together. I love the way you relay Tina and Bettes thoughts and the repeated use of “she ran” really pulls at the heart! I really am enjoyong this! You are a wonderful and talented writer!!!!!
I’m with Carolann – Tina will be running marathons after she finds out Bette has gone to NYC.
So fresh! Keep up the good work!
I almost forgot, I love this chapter so much that this is the 3rd time I’ve read it!
Did she not tell Bette to get lost…
POST POST
I like this story but the chapters are far too short. It’s hard to get into a groove with it. At least you post several times a day which helps a lot. Other than that, thanks for taking the time to write this story.
This is great! I am hooked. Can’t wait for more!
Love it!! I’m hooked also..
I’ve been trying to catch up on these chapters so I haven’t been commenting, but this one was very very DEEP. Everything that I’ve read thus far has been great. I hope to be all caught up soon.
