Bette wakes at 6am and heads to the bathroom. Tina gets up shortly thereafter and heads to the kitchen where she starts the coffee pot and begins to prepare them an egg breakfast.

Bette: Good morning T.

Tina: Hey baby, grab yourself a cup of coffee and fix our plates. I’ve made your favorite, French toast and poached a couple of eggs. I’ll be right back after I brush my teeth.

Bette: This is great T, thank you.

Tina: Well I want you to have something good to eat. I know if you get busy you won’t eat since you are leaving early.

Bette: I am better about that, but I probably wouldn’t have taken time for lunch. I’ll still take some fruit with me so I can have a bit of a snack before our meeting.

Tina: I’ve already packed you a bag: yogurt and fruit so you’re all set.

Bette: Thanks T. Get some rest before our little monster gets up.

They kiss good bye and Bette heads to the museum. She’s greeted with an oversized signed card on her desk.

“We’re all pulling for you Bette”. Her entire staff had signed a card wishing them good luck on the home visit. The sight brought tears to her eyes and a smile to her belly as she’d never imagine getting something so heartfelt from the team at the CAC. Bette gets right to work on her emails and administrative paperwork pile from yesterday.

Mandy: Good morning Bette. Today is your big day.

Bette: I got the card and was completely blown away by the gesture, thank you so much.

Mandy: Well most of us don’t get evaluated as fit parents so we’ve never been through something like that. We all know that you love that baby and you treat her with the utmost care. Any child would be lucky to call you Momma.

Bette: Thanks, I just want this one at the moment.

Mandy: She’ll officially be yours. Now I need to have out of here by 1:30 today, right?

Bette: Yes, that’s about right. I’ve already gone through this pile of approvals you left and I’m just about caught up on emails. Any big appointments today?

Mandy: You have a board member stopping in by, a Katherine Peterson, but that really is a just to get to know you session. Her bio is on your desk. The big deal today is reviewing the final contract for the last show of the year. You’re really swinging for the fences on that one, I love it.
