    Dining out, talking enjoying each others company.

    “Yes, I am.” Tina replies. They both grab their purses and jackets and make their way out of the room and down to the lobby. Once downstairs, Bette makes a signal to a man by the door. Tina looks curiously from the man and then to Bette.

    “Babe, what’s going on?” Tina asks.

    “Nothing really, just making sure that we are transported everywhere we want to go.” Bette replies and pulls Tina closer in her arms.

    They walk through the front doors at the hotel and a nice looking man opens the door to a black limousine for them to get into. Once inside Bette took Tina’s hand in hers and holds it tight.

    “So, where are we going?” Tina asks.

    “Actually, it’s a golf club.” Bette starts. Tina looks surprised.

    “Oh!” She replies.

    “At seven in the evening, the restaurant is the best Paris can offer. I know. I’ve been there before. It’s the most delicious food you’ll ever taste. It’s a 5 star restaurant. It’s a romantic place, you’ll love it.” Bette says and smiles at Tina.

    “It sounds great, I can’t wait.” Tina replies and smiles back.

    They arrive at the golf club 30 minutes later, the driver opens up the door for them and they get out. Bette holds out her hand to Tina, who gladly takes it and they walk inside. A man greets them.

    “Welcome Ms. Porter.” The man says.

    “Hello, Pierre. I want you to meet my wife, Tina Kennard-Porter.” Bette says, introducing them.

    “It’s very nice to meet you Mrs. Porter.” He says and takes her hand and gently kisses the top of her hand.

    “It’s very nice to meet you too, Pierre.” Tina says and smiles back.

    “Well, let’s get you to your seats. I gave you your favourite table Ms. Porter, in the back, the private one with a view into the city.” Pierre says.

    “Thank you Pierre, I really appreciate it.” Bette replies.

    “Oh you’re welcome. This young man here, will be your waiter for the evening.” Pierre says and introduce them all. “This is Michel.” Pierre says.

    “Hello Michel, nice to meet you.” Bette says and smiles.

    “Same to you Ms. Porter.” Bette says.

    Bette and Tina take a seat opposite each other. Michel gives them the menus.

    8. Lauren…what a lovely chapter. They had a wonderful dinner and Bette gave Tina a lovely diamond necklace…how sweet. I like that you referenced Laurel’s passtime of snowboarding as Tina’s…nicely done. ;-) Hope your studies are going well. Thanks for the update.
