Chapter 122 “Are you feeling better?” Bette asks. “I’m sorry” Tina says and looks up at Bette. “Baby, it’s okay.” Bette says and put her hand on Tina’s thigh. “You have had a bad couple of days.” Bette adds. “But that is no excuse for what I almost did today.” Tina replies as tears starts to fall again. “Baby, please don’t cry.” Bette says. “Come here.” Bette says and stands up and pulls Tina up into a hug. “I can’t believe this is happening.” Tina whispers as she is held by Bette’s strong arms. “Me neither, but we are getting through this. Together, I’ll be with you every step of the way. I’m not going to let anything happen to you.” Bette replies and leans in and kisses her forehead. They sat down again. “Are you hungry? I ordered extra.” Bette asks. “No, but I could take a glass of water.” Tina replies and stands up and walks over to the sink and gets it. “Baby, you have to eat something. Just one bite?” Bette asks. “Okay, one bite.” Tina reply and smiles vaguely at Bette, who holds up her fork to Tina. She takes it. “Thank you.” Bette reply and smiles. There’s a few moments of silence. “Dr. Samuel Mitchell called when you were asleep. He’s you new doctor at Cedars. We have and appointment tomorrow morning at “Okay.” Tina replies. “They’re starting chemo right away.” Bette says. “Okay I’m so tired.” Tina says. “Why don’t you go back to bed?” Bette suggests. “I don’t want to go alone.” Tina replies. “Okay, when I’m finished with my dinner, why don’t we go and sit in the living room. You can lay down on my lap.” Bette says and gives her a smile. “Yeah.” Tina says. “Bette, I want to tell Alice and Shane about this. Could you call them after dinner and ask them to come over?” Tina asks. “Sure.” Bette replies. “Thanks, I’m just going to the bathroom.” Tina says and stands up and walks out. Bette takes out her cell phone and dials “ “Hey, “No, why?” “We were wondering if you and Shane would like to come over. We have something to share with you.” Bette says. Lauren…it’s great how much support Tina has with her family. Bette is really great. And yes…you are still killing me. This is truly a sad chapter. I’m with pandora007 & allyemmerson. Let this trial of heartache and pain lead to a good outcome.
