Chapter 163
Out in the living room, Jessie’s cell is ringing. She looks at the at the ID and sees that it’s Julia. She hate having to lie to her, well not exactly lie, but withhold information from her. But she wants to talk to Julia about this face to face, not over the phone.
“Hi, babe.” Jessie says and smiles.
“Hey, how are you?” Julia asks.
“I’m fine, I’m watching the twins at the moment.” Jessie says.
“Oh okay, I’ll be quick. My classes ended earlier than I expected. And I managed to get an earlier flight.” She says.
“You did? When?” Jessie asks.
“Tomorrow.” Julia replies and waits for Jessie’s reply.
“No.” Jessie says.
“Yes, I’m scheduled to land in LA around
“Ooh I can’t wait, I’ve missed you.” Jessie says and smiles.
“I’ve missed you too. So tomorrow, are you able to pick me up, or should I call my uncle?” Julia asks.
“Off course I’ll pick you up.” Jessie says.
“Great. Look I have to go, I have econ coming up in 5 minutes.” Julia says.
“Okay, I’ll call you tonight. Okay?” Jessie says.
“Okay, I’ll wait by the phone. Take care, bye.” Julia says.
“You too. Bye.” Jessie says and hangs up. Jessie wanted to say ‘I love you’ to her, because she really is in love with Julia. But she don’t want to scare her off. And thought she’d wait until Julia says it, or when she’s sure she’ll hear it back.
Tina enters just as Jessie’s hanging up. Jessie has a huge grin on her face.
“So, I take that was Julia?” Tina says, dropping down beside Jessie.
“Yes. She managed to get away from school sooner, she’s coming tomorrow. I can’t wait.” Jessie says, blushing a little.
“It’s good to see you this happy.” Tina says and pats Jessie’s thigh.
“I am really happy.” Jessie says and looks at Tina.
“Could you do me a favour?” Tina asks.
“Sure.” Jessie says.
“Well, actually two. The first being, not to tell Bette that Julia is coming tomorrow. Let me do that and second, could you maybe talk to Julia before coming here, not tell her the whole story but” Tina says.

This next day will be dificult for Bette, Julia arrives and she will talk with her mother i hope all this wont drive her crazy.
Lauren…wonderful chapter. It was good to see Tina photographing something. It’s been a while since she’s picked up the camera. It’s so sweet how supportive Tina is of Bette and her anxiety attacks. ;-) Hope Bette doesn’t tell Maxine she’ll be meeting her daughter, because she doesn’t know if Jules is her daughter (yet) and because Maxine may cause more problems. Thanks for the update. Cannot wait for the Porter v. Porter showdown. LOL.
