    B&T talk, x-rays and the possibility of walking…

    “Okay.” Tina replies.
    “Have you felt anything in your legs? Itching or tickling kind of feeling?” He asks.

    “No nothing.” Tina replies.

    “Okay. We’ll also take x-rays of the other injuries to make sure they are healing properly. We’ll be about an hour or so, so it’s a good chance to maybe go home, or get some fresh air.” He says turning to Bette.

    “I’m not going anywhere.” Bette says without thinking.

    “Babe, go home, take a shower, get some food. I’m in good hands.” Tina says and gives Bette a smile.

    “I don’t want to leave.” Bette says softly.

    Tina reaches out for her hand.

    “Babe, come here. Please, it will get your mind off this for a little while. Go home and take a shower instead of sitting out in the waiting area and stare into the wall. You’ll need it.” Tina says softly rubbing Bette’s hand.

    “Okay.” Bette finally agrees. She leans down and kisses Tina. “I love you.” She adds.

    “I love you too.” Tina replies and then she’s wheeled out by two nurses. Bette stays there until Tina’s out of sight. She walks outside and there she meets Dana.

    “Hey, where are you going?” Dana asks curiously.

    “I’m going home to take a shower. They just wheeled her down to x-rays. She’ll be gone for an hour or so. She insisted that I go home for a little while.” Bette says.

    “Okay, want some company?” Dana asks.

    “Yeah, I’d like that.” Bette replies.

    “Let’s take my car, get you to relax a little.” Dana suggests.

    Bette agreed and they drive off towards Bette and Tina’s apartment.

    The drive was silent, not many words were exchanged between them.

    They arrived at the apartment and went inside.

    Bette went straight to the shower. Dana walked into the kitchen and made some coffee. 15 minutes later Bette walks out in her robe with a towel wrapped around her head.

    “I made some coffee, do you want some?” Dana asks.

    “Yes, thank you.” Bette replies.

    Bette takes a seat at the table.

    “So how are you holding up?” Dana asks.

    “Not good right now. I can’t believe I kept that from her. And now she might be paralyzed permanently. How can I forgive myself for that?” Bette asks, mostly to herself.

    1. first..ok 3 chapters tomorrow??? you know tomorrow is my birthday..really is im not joking and it will be a hell of a wonderful present cuz i love your story love it..ok back to the story im gald they talked but Bette have to stay strong for Tina.. now she will need her a lot.. cant wait to see Tina walking and healthy again this is to sad and they have a lot of wedding plain to make..lol..amazing chappy as always cant wait for tomorrow :o)

    2. thanks for another chapter today… love this story… so let the healing begin… so now i guess tina is out of a job and bette is not going to play golf anymore…. they will be home together a lot… time for a house…

    6. That’s what true love must be : each one being the biggest support of the other one. Tina will need Bette more than ever to cross this hard road together, and Bette needs Tina to fight her acurate guilt’s feelings.

      They are so lucky to have such wonderful friends too !
      God, without love or friendship, what would be our lives ??

      For me, I cannot help but feeling 100% positive about Tina : she will walk again ! Period !

    8. Lauren…thanks for the chapter. Seems like it’s healing time for both Bette and Tina. Bette really needs to forgive herself…Tina’s not blaming her. It’s always harder to forgive yourself versus someone else. Thanks again…get plenty of rest.

    10. Thanks for the positive chapter. I know Tina is still not out of the woods, but she has a good chance. It sounds like Bette’s golf days are over? There is no way she would leave Tina behind. It’s ok, at least this way they can spend more time together. I hope you keep your promise of a few chapters =) Kiitos!
