    A Dylena Story

Helena: rambling “Umm, please Dylan, sit down. Would you like some coffee? I thought you might need to eat something. I figured toast would be good, you know, for your stomach. pouring coffee into a mug I’ll just put some bread in the toaster. Oh, where are my manners.  What would you like?  If you would like something else, eggs maybe, I could make some eggs for you. Maybe, some eggs and toast, yeah setting the mug down on the kitchen table black with sugar, right?”

Dylan: sitting down “Toast and coffee, black with sugar, is fine. Thank you, Helena.”

She’s rambling. Is she nervous? I’m the only one who should be nervous. She’s blushing. Why is she embarrassed? There’s only two people in this room right now and only one of us made a complete ass of herself last night. And that would be ME. Wait, is she staring at my breasts? I think she’s staring at my breasts.

Dylan: I follow her eyes down to the shirt I’m wearing and read I heart british girls “Huh, just one girl.”

Helena: focusing my eyes back on Dylan’s “What?”

Dylan: looking back up at her, directly in her eyes “I heart just one british girl.”

Ooooh, Oooookay, I definitely need to slow this down, because as corny as what she just said was, it has me feeling like I’m the luckiest and horniest british girl in all of LA. Not just LA but, the entire USA. No, the luckiest and horniest girl in all of the entire USA and all of England! Oh my god, stop! Stop what you’re thinking right now Helena Peabody, just stop! I need to get control of myself. I need to remember what she’s done to me in the past. Just slow it all down. Take it slow.

Helena: “Oh. Umm. Ehehm, ummmmm, Dylan, I have to go into work this afternoon. So, after you eat, I thought I could give you a ride to where ever you need to go, then I would head to the Planet.”

Dylan: I‘m overstepping and more than obviously read way to much into this breakfast, sadly “Oh, uh okay. You know, Helena, you don’t have to make me breakfast. The shower, the clothes and coffee were more than enough Helena, thank you. Thank you so much. You don’t need to drive me anywhere. You should get ready for work. I’ll call a cab.”

Helena: “Dylan, I’m not rushing you out.  Please don’t think I’m rushing you out.”

Dylan: standing up and taking out my phone “No, no it’s alright. You have to get ready for work. So, please and thank you, it’s more than I deserved. Believe me, I understand, it’s way more than enough.  I’ll call a cab to get me home. Okay, please, just let me call a cab.”

Helena: “Well, alright, if that’s what you want?”

Dylan: nervous and hiding my true emotions which were threatening to come out in tears once again “It is what I want, right now.  But, I would really like it if we could maybe have dinner or lunch sometime. You know, to maybe talk about some things. I have a lot I want to say to you. I have a lot I need to say to you Helena. So, maybe we could get together for dinner or something? If you want?”

Helena: just giving her a small smile and deciding to play it cool “I would like that, Dylan. We do have some things to talk about. So dinner, maybe Saturday night would be a nice way to start.”

Dylan: excited “Saturday night is great for me? Uh, where would you like to meet?”

Helena: still playing it cool, but nervous as hell on the inside  “I was thinking here, say seven? Since, you wouldn’t let me cook breakfast for you this morning, how about dinner Saturday night?”

Dylan: excited and nervous “Seven, Saturday? It’s a date. I mean no. Not, no I’m not coming, just no it’s not a date. I mean……”

Helena: smiling “See you Saturday Dylan.”

    1. Hey seems as you’re having trouble writing conversations between them why not focus on one of their feeling say Helena, and then descrive Dylan’s mannerisms, her tone of voice and body language I always find that easier then you can really delve into that character mind set but also still feel connected to the other character. Great update so dinner at 7 on saturday hmmmm can’t wait hopefully it won’t be as awkward as that. As for the ‘I heart British girls’ loved it maybe be corny but corny is good sometimes. And for Dylan’s statement she should of daid something like that in the show lol. Great work ppvs
