    A Dylena Story, Chapter 23. This one is Dylan’s POV of her confrontation with Alice.

    “You don’t know me! You know nothing about me, Alice!”

     

     

    Standing up and turning toward me “I know all I need to know about you, Dylan!”  Taking both her hands she shoves me backwards by my the shoulders. This is the second time Alice has physically come at me. First, chest bumping me in Helena’s club and now shoving me.  Not to mention the slamming of Helena’s door in my face.  I don’t like to fight, but she’s getting very close to pushing me past my limit of having a nonviolent confrontation with her.

    Recovering from her shove, I step so close to her we’re almost nose to nose.  So close that I can feel her breath on my face.  “First, don’t touch me again.  And Second, you do not know me! I don’t want Helena’s money. I never wanted her money!”

    She rolls her eyes at me.  She can be so condescending.  “Oh, please. That’s rich, Dylan.  It’s just about as rich as you want to get off Helena.”

    I’m about to counter her statement when a waitress cuts me off.  “Excuse me.  But, this is a place of business.  We have other customers.  So I’m going to ask you both to sit down now and POLITELY work this out.  If you can’t do that then you have to leave.”

    “Huh, hear that Dylan.  If you can’t be polite then you’ll have to leave.” Looking away from me and at the waitress.  “She’ll be leaving.  Politeness isn’t one of her strong points, among other things.”

    She’s unbelievable.  My restraint is quickly fading.  “Alice, you are…”  I’m interrupted once again.  This time by Shane forcing her way in between us.  Holding her hands up in a sort of, peacemaking, kind of way.  One hand in Alice’s face and the other in mine, her head and eyes shifting back and forth between us trying to quietly and clearly state her point.  “Guys, this isn’t the time or place.  Okay, this is not what either of you want to do.  Just calm down and let it go for now, both of you.”

    “Let It Go?  Shane, I’m not letting a damn thing go until she decides to GO!  Go Dylan, get the hell out of here and out of Helena’s life!”  She reaches around Shane and shoves me again causing me to stumble backward.  Again!  She put her hands on me, again.  That’s three times now, I’ve had enough.

    1. Ok so what an awesome chapter that was. I’m glad Shane calmed Dylan down a fist fight would have got her know where. As for Alice and her motor-mouth sometimes she doesn’t she the fact she hurts people by thinking out loud. Keep it to yourself and let Helena think for herself she’s a grown woman for crying out loud. Helena is hurt by Alice’s comments I would be too she’s supposed to be her best friend, she knows Helena but wants to control how she feels about Dylan through Helena. But she can’t so she’s attacking Dylan in a way that she knows will get a rise out of Dylan. Great chapter. ok so a little surprise for you in about 15minutes. Caramel

    2. Great update. My “beat the hell out of Alice” is mostly for getting out the anger of the moment. Don’t believe in violence except verbally and that goes a long way when physical violence doesn’t. However, Alice was really pushing getting an ass whipping for pushing Dylan three times. Alice was truly provoking her for a fight which was absolutely wrong and if Dylan had hit her it would have been justified. Now Helena needs to tell Alice to never touch her again and to keep her damned mouth shut, it is after all “her business.” Thanks for posting.
