The next morning, Helena in bed: Helena’s POV

I’ve been playing the event’s of last night in my head over and over. I’ve never saw her like that, she was so intoxicated, she must have been drinking for hours before she arrived at Hit. She never drank like that, at least all the times I was with her. She could hardly stand up let alone be coherent when she spoke.

Last night, Helena in her office:

    Knock, knock

    Helena: “Come in.”

Julie(a new bartender at Hit): “Excuse me, Miss Peabody.”

    Helena: “Yes Julie.”

Julie: “Umm, I’m sorry to bother you but there is someone demanding to see you at the bar. She says it’s important that she talks to you, she asked for you specifically. It’s more than obvious she’s had her fair share of drinks tonight, so I refused to serve her. I think she might want to put in a complaint about me. I know you might think this is just because I’m new here. But, because she seems to know you I’m not quite sure how to handle this.”

Helena: “It’s alright Julie, just let me finish this and I’ll take care of it.”

I put the invoices I’d been going over back in there folder and thought damn drunks, that’s the only problem with owning a club. You always have to deal with people who can’t handle there liquor. Oh, they think they can but they can’t. I should know, after all, I’ve been there.

As I walked out of the office, Kit stopped me.

    Kit: “Where you going?”

Helena: “Oh, Julie thinks some drunk is going to complain about her refusing to serve her. So, I’m going to take care of it.”

Kit: “Uh, oh, uh I already did that. It’s fine. You don’t need to do anything. It’s all good. It’s all taken care of. Nothing to worry about out here. Everything’s good. So, you can just go back in the office now and keep working on those invoices.”
