A Forever Kind of Love- 14

The week continued as that day had, with Bette and Tina waking separately across the city from each other, thinking of each other throughout the day barely getting work done and having dinner each night.  Angelica loved having both of her mother’s together each night and it made the transition from Bette’s custody to Tina’s much easier as she had figured out that she would have both of them together for dinner.

Friday night came along and Bette was once again preparing dinner for her family.  It was the end of a long week and though she had seen Tina and Angelica each night it didn’t seem like enough.  They had decided that even though this was not her weekend to have Angelica that they would all stay at Bette’s house again because it was bigger than Tina’s apartment and more conveniently located.

The doorbell rang and Bette went to answer it not to find the two loves of her life but Shane.  Not that seeing Shane was a bad thing she just was waiting for the important women in her life.

Shane walks in, looks around and speaks, “I see you’re having company for dinner,” noticing the three place settings including the child’s place setting with the booster seat.  “So…”

    “Yeah?”

“I’ve been noticing that you have had guests over every night this week.”

    “I have.”

“It didn’t look like Jodi’s car, is everything alright with the two of you?”  Shane knew exactly whose car it was that had been out front of Bette’s house each night but wanted Bette to confirm it before she said anything more about it.

“No, it’s not Jodi’s car.”  Bette took a moment to think of how far to take the conversation being that she and Tina hadn’t discussed when they were going to come out of hiding and tell their friends that they were back together.  Granted it was early days but there was no denying the fact that they were back together.  But then again it was Shane and Shane out of all their friends made the least amount of judgments about other people and had a six sense about this of the relationship sort anyway.  “Jodi and I broke up last week.”  She stopped not knowing what more would be okay to add to that.

    1. Thank you for bringing to light this very important subject. The show never dealt with this issue which I found unexplainable. Now Bette will be Angelica’s mommy.

    2. Thanks so much for updating this wonderful story. The adoption issue was most important and I’m happy that Tina has started the ball rolling on that issue again. Very important for all of them and most especially Angie. In years to come if she becomes curious about it, she will see that her moms knew how important she is to them. Thanks again for posting. Hope you can update your other stories as well especially A Fresh Start. PPS
