    After the party.

    Bette ran after Alice, “Al!!” She yelled she couldn’t see her anywhere. She ran to the parking lot.

     

    “Give me my car!”

     

    “Ma’am I’m sorry I need a ticket.”

     

    “I don’t know where’s my fucking ticket!” Alice screamed at him.

     

    “It’s ok, “ Bette said telling the valet guy to go.

     

    “Leave me alone Bette! You’re the last person I need to see right now.”

     

    “Alice, please…” Bette begged.

     

    “I was always there for you!!” Alice yelled. “Through your screwed up relationships, every year on the anniversary of your mother’s death, I was there! I kept all your secrets Bette!” Alice said, her voice quiver.

     

    “I know, Al, you’re me best friend you’re my rock.”

     

    “Then why?? Why would you hurt me like that?” Alice was now crying.

     

    “Al… I never… it slipped.” Bette said knowing how bad it sounded.

     

    “One thing! You need to keep one thing for yourself. God and I get the name of big mouth!!!” Alice exclaimed.

     

    “I know, I’m so sorry. Please Al, stay, let’s talk.” Bette begged.

     

    “I can’t, Bette you saw how Dana looked at me she was horrified she was disgusted.”

     

    “No, she was surprised.” Bette said.

     

    “I’m going to lose her…” Alice whispered tears in her eyes. “I’m going to lose her and I don’t know if I can live without her.”

     

    “Al…” Bette hugged her, “You’re not going to lose her, you know why?”

     

    Alice looked at her like a little kid looking at his mother, “Why?” She sniffed.

     

    “Because, even if she doesn’t feel the same way, which I think she does, no one is willing to give up your presence in his life. You’re too precious.”

     

    “You’re just sucking up because you know you’re in my bad book.” Alice said, feeling a little better.

     

    “Come back with me.” Bette said.

     

    “Bette, I’m not ready yet, I can’t.” Alice whispered, “Go in. I’ll be alright.”

     

    Bette looked at her. “Come on, let’s go.” She said.

     

    “No Bette you can’t ditch you own party.”

     

    “I can and I will. You’re more important then any party, besides, I can’t face Tina right now… I’m scared of what I might say. Where do you want to go?”

    3. WOW geek, you really have me reeling. I thought that Natasha was your version of Helena, but NO you have Helena and Nasty. I am glad that Alfred talked to Tina, because she is about to drive me crazy. She and Bette need to continue to talk and open up to each other. That is the only way for Bette to get to the bottom of what is making Tina act the way she does. PPS :o).

    4. Ok. Bette and Tina really, really need to have a heart to heart talk. Bette needs to talk frankly to her and Tina needs to grow up and stop acting like a spoiled brat. Bette having been away for the weekend is what Tina needs to get her butt into gear! PPS

    5. This was a fun chapter…loved Bette and Alice together. Gotta say though, I still have trouble believing that Bette could fall that head over heels for this Tina. But I’m still reading!

    9. I love Alice’s line from Bette to Tina, it had me cracking up laughing. I hope that Tina listens to Alfred, it’s time to get her…well you get the point. Alice and Bette’s bonding was PERFECT!

    11. Hopefully with Bette being gone for the weekend Tina finally gets what she’ll be losing, and when comes back they have the talk they really need to have, and if Bette uses Alice’s line that’s even better! PPS

    15. I love Alfred! Tina is so quick with her insanity. One minute she’s fine and then next she is jumping off a cliff. I hope she gets things figured out.

    16. Hey, thats what friends are for. Though mine have never wisked me off to Hawaii on a private jet. Tina listen to Alfred, Bette listen to Alice, Alice listen to Bette, and Dana listen to Alice. Okay I’m tired now.

    17. Wow, if Tina wants Bette to stay with her she needs to find a better way of dealing with her jealousy. She is going to mess around and let Helena sneak back into Bette’s lifeas a friend, which gives her an opening for so much more. I don’t see Bette as gullible but Helena seems to know how to play this game and Tina doesn’t have the best track record. I think she needs therapy. PPS

    19. Alice and Bette totally cute together. That’s friendship!!! Too bad Tina doesn’t seem to get it. I hope Alice and Bette keep being this close to each other through the story. I sooo love their dinamics. I want Tina to suffer and work really hard to be with Bette, I know I’m bad for wanting this but Tina needs to understand that she can’t continue to behave in that destructive way.
