    “Shane I am sorry. A.D. Porter sent me here to help. I know that I am…that I have approached you two in a manner highly unbecoming of an agent and I do apologize.”

     

     

    “First off start by speaking English to me. Don’t give me this Bureau speak…………..Look I am tired and angry and I am feeling extra territorial about Carmen. You have to understand how fucked up this is for us….”

     

     

    “I understand that you are both under an extreme amount of stress.”

     

     

    “So you Feds still talk about her and how sad her life has become?”

     

     

    The blonde agent she thinks long before she speaks. I get a good look at her now that Carmen wasn’t around to upset. She is good looking; tall disciplined not a hair out of place. She had the outward appearance of someone who is no nonsense and precise. She didn’t look like she had much fun. Like maybe the stories of Carm and me kept her up at night like some kind of escapist adventure…Maybe that’s where the fascination lies. Her eyes blue, her skin smooth…flawless.  I inhaled trying to get a sense of her…nothing in the air but my cigarette smoke. I wonder if Bette has tried to……nah…Agent Kennard was more than likely married to an insurance salesman………. No ring though…..

     

     

     

    “Does it matter?” She asks feeling under the microscope suddenly.

     

     

    “No I guess not.”

     

     

    “Shane can I ask you something…sort of off the record?”

     

     

    “Sure.”

     

     

    “What was Agent Morales really like?”

     

     

    I think about the question curious as to why she wants to know…..point being proved that she was into the stories of our crazy life.

     

     

    “Carmen….what was she like? She was a mystery to me. She still is. I didn’t know her other than she was keeping something from me and I felt like I didn’t or couldn’t live without her……You know that hasn’t changed. It’s still the same in that way.”

     

     

    “Who would hate you both to want to do this?”

    1. I like the idea of A.D. Porter, reminds me of Law&Order. That rhymed. Good update. I’m loving Shane and Carmen in this, but the mood of the story feels like wading through molasses. In a good way though. I feel like I’m waiting for an explosion despite Marco having been kidnapped. PPS!

    2. Great update. I love the fact that we have a third person view on Shane and Carmen. it’s refreshing. Ans also good for drama. And I have to say that you really make me wonder what happen to the star of this story. I was so seeing Tina speaking to Bette with flash of what happen just like in a movie, lol. Very good job.

    3. You never cease to amaze… I like how you previewed what we have to look forward to, and then filling in the gaps. I get that Tina would be jealous, hell I’m jealous of the two. Can’t wait to find out who this Conrad fella is!!

    5. Love, LOVE this. But please, pretty please, don’t turn into “yet another TiBette” story. There are so many of them out there and so little quality Sharmen fanfic (sorry if I’m offending anyone, this is just my opinion), it would suck if that happened…It’s good however to introduce “new” characters so keep going ! Thanks for writing all this :)

    6. Oustanding chapter! Although I must admit I am confused as hell now. I love your writing and I am sure you will help us sort this out in the next chapter. Even in their darkest hour they still reach out for each other and keep the passion alive.
