A Means To An End.

Prologue

We all heard the story of Special Agent Carmen Morales.

 Carmen was a gifted Profiler who graduated in the top three percent of her class at John Jay, who held several marksman awards at Quantico. Who, while at Quantico graduated in the top two percent of her class. We all knew what happened to her that warm April night…. What it was now… 5 years ago? I don’t know the exact time line but I think it was 5….Anyway we all knew what happened. Her girlfriend was murdered that night and after that nothing was ever the same for her.

What followed that incident on Sunset Blvd was a series of random, bizarre and violent showings of affection on her part (Agent Morales) toward a criminal by the name of Shane McCutcheon. Somehow deep into her investigation of the man she believed was responsible for the death of her lover; somehow she became infatuated with Ms. McCutcheon to the point of blindness. Agents assigned to the case described her behavior as obsessive, destructive and reckless. Her partner an Agent by the name of John Mills subsequently quit the F.B.I. rather than testify to his partner’s loss of objectivity on the matter of Ms. McCutcheon. 

Shane McCutcheon a woman of a troubled upbringing who relocated to Bakersfield California after her mother was shot to death in Dallas Texas. No one knew the identity of the culprit but there were allegations that her father was the murderer. It should be noted that none of those allegations were ever substantiated.

 Her father who was also the victim of murder several years later. Shane was believed to have been the trigger man in the retaliatory death of one…..Chavo “Fast Eddie” Villarreal. No body was ever found; no charges made and as far as the F.B.I. knew it was nothing more than street talk.

We all knew the story very well.

 How you could not?

 Aside from the fact that Agent Morales was a lesbian who held a high profile assignment with the F.B.I. who used her badge to wage a one woman rampage of revenge, who was responsible for the deaths of several police officers also under investigation in what was officially named “Operation E- Race” among other names…Agent Morales at the time seemed unaware of her cult status with the office pool. Pools like what was the over under on how many times she would visit Ms. McCutcheon in a week, to how many shots would she fire into William Woyawikka when the moment arrived.
