Bette~
Bette stood on her walk way and watched until she couldn’t see Tina’s cab any longer. She slowly walked into the house. The echo if the door closing reminded her just how empty her house was. Just like her life and heart had been for so long. She went over to the couch and sat back. She wanted Tina to come back to her. Just to have her lie in her arms. Bette curled up on the couch, not wanting to move because it still smelled like Tina. She stayed there holding a pillow tight, waiting for Tina to call and let her know that she had got home safe. Bette wanted to tell her that she thought that she was falling for her and she was falling hard and fast. But she knew that it was too soon. By saying that she ran the risk of losing Tina forever. And that was something that she couldn’t afford to do.

Tina~
Tina’s whole body shook in the back of the cab with the pain she felt in her heart over leaving Bette. She really didn’t want to leave her but she knew it was for the best. Not only for her sake but for Bette’s also. Tina wanted to make sure that they knew what they were getting into. When the cab pulled up in front of her building she let out a soft groan. She payed the cabbie and walked to the main door to the building, pulling out her keys. She knew that if Eric was awake still there would be problems. MAJOR PROBLEMS. Tina got off the elevator and wlaked to her front door. She took a deep breath, turned the key and opened the door. She was relieved to see all the lights off. She walked in and quietly closed the door behind her. She quickly made her way to her bedroom and called Bette.
“Hello” said a sleepy voice
” Bette? It’s me. I just wanted to let you know that I’m home. You didn’t have to stay awake. I could’ve left you a voice mail” Tina replied
“T it was no problem. Really. I wanted to hear your voice before I went to bed anyway” Bette told her
“Bette I just want to let you know that I had a wonderful time today” Tina told her
“I’m glad. I hope we can do it again. Soon maybe?” Bette asked
“How about lucnh tomorrow” Tina suggested
“Sounds great. Can you meet me at the gallery? I know this great mexican place nearby” Bette said
“That’s great. I will be there at 12″ Tina told her
“Okay. It’s a date. Well I will let you get to bed. Good night T”
“Good night babe. Can’t wait to see you”
“Sweet dreams princess” Bette said one last time before she hung up. Tina put her phone down on the night stand. She got up and walked to the kitchen with a smile on her face. She opened the door to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water.
” What the hell are you so happy about?” a voice asked from the door way.
“Shit Eric. You scared me. What the fuck is your problem?” Tina asked angerily
” What’s my problem? My girlfriend is sneaking around the house at 2 in the morning after a date with a lesbian. And I have a fuckin problem? Where the fuck are your clothes? That’s not what you had on when you left” Eric fired back
” None of your business. But if you must know my clothes are in Bette’s dryer. She let me borrow these after we got caught in the rain.” Tina told him calmly
” You were at her house and now your wearing her clothes? You fucked her didn’t you? You whore. You digust me. I want you to take that shit off.” Eric screamed
“Eric you are being an unreasonable dick right now. I did not fuck Bette. You ass. And I am not taking anything off. You need to get a grip on reality because you can’t make me do anything.” Tina replied
“Tina if you don’t take that shit off, I will take it off for you” Eric said in a calm voice that would have scared Tina. If she didn’t know who he was.
“Once again, get a grip. I’m going to bed. In the other room. I can’t look at you right now.” Tina told him walking away. She stop at the door way and slowly turned around.
“You know what? Fuck it. This is my apartment and I would like it if you and your stuff was gone by time I got home from work today. Eric? It’s over! Good night” she said and then turned on her heels and walked away leaving Eric stunned in the kitchen.

Bette~
Bette was lying in bed thinking of Tina when a warm feeling washed over her body. She was no longer afraid of what was in store for her and the blonde. In that instant she knew that everything would be all right.

Tina~
Tina went to her bed and got under the covers. She suddenly felt energized and knew it had to do with the fact that things were finally over between her and Eric. She began to think of Bette when a warm feeling washed over her heart and soul. She knew that Bette was her destiny. It was only a matter of time.
