BACK AT BETTE’S PLACE

Kit is still staring at Bette and back to the cupboard, gazing at it with eyes as big as saucers. She still can’t believe what she just found out. She slowly turns around again to stare at her sister. Her face is turning from white to red as she feels her anger and frustration coming from out of her toes. She would love to shake her sister and smack her in the face, but she knows that won’t help now. And anyway, it’s too late for that.

” I’m sorry Kit, I know you went through a lot of trouble getting this done for me”, Bette says in a soft and emotional voice. ” But I just could not get myself  to watch them”. Her eyes are filled with tears now. Kit knows she is about to break down, so she walks over and embraces her sister with all the love she has for her.

” It’s ok, baby-sis, let’s sit down , and talk about this”, glaring over to the open cupboard with on the inside all the DVD’s she had sent to Bette over the past months. But none of them were unwrapped, they were still in the plastic, the way she had put them in the envelope to be sent by post.

In the last months, she had gone to Tina’s place every week  with a hand cam to put little Angelica on camera, so Bette could see her grow and watch all the new developments her little girl was going through. Kit had made sure, Tina nor Henry or Mickey would be on the film. Not even their voices, just her and Angelica, as she knew how upset her sister would be by hearing them. She had come to this agreement with Tina after a long talk she had had with Tina, just after Bette had left LA. At first Tina wasn’t willing to give in, because to her idea, it was Bette’s own decision to leave LA so drastically. And with that decision she made it impossible for her self to see or look after Angelica.
