    A new life- ch.64

Both of them don’t know how to get through the week alone, they will both be in a strange situation; Bette, because she will be alone with Angelica for the whole week for the first time and Tina, because she will be completely alone ever since Angelica as born. This is a situation, they are both unfamiliar with and they would have rather avoided. But unfortunately, life has decided differently and so they are both in their own thoughts both close to each other at the same time.

Bette is sitting in at the gate waiting for the announcement to enter the plane. She is looking at her little Angel, who is playing on the floor. Her mind goes back to the last week, the week she spent alone with her daughter and without the woman she loves so much. The week was long, lots of new things for her to discover with her daughter and lots of lonely moments, especially at night. Tina and she phoned each other every day more then once but still, it is not the same as being together. Angelica had been great, she was no trouble at all. Bette had taken her to work, she was all good, she walked around the gallery, people found her cute, she drew their attention away from the art.

They spent every minute of the day together, Bette made all her food and read to her every night before sleeping. It was great, she felt like a real mother for the child. Of course, she needed some help every now and then, then she called Monique, not Tina. She didn’t want Tina to worry but to be honest, she also didn’t want her to think that she couldn’t do it.

The moment Tina had stepped through the gate and waved for the last time, she had felt the loneliness and felt deserted instantly. Tina flew in the early afternoon, so after their wake up, they had spent the rest of the morning at home with packing and with Tina giving her all the instructions she might need in the week. Of course they had cried, more then once, when they thought of the separation. They didn’t talk about the job offer or the decision that was to be made.

    2. You were truly missed girl, this was a lovely chapter. Ik was ongerust omdat we lange tijd niks van je gehoord hebben, maar ben toch blij te lezen in de author’s notes dat alles goed met je gaat, ik wens je alle geluk.
