    What if New Year’s Eve played out just a little bit differently?

    "I think we’re about ready to wrap up the main party." Tina said.

    "We’re bringing in the New Year right." Shane smiled.

    "So you want me to clean up?" Dana asked.

    "No silly. We need your help getting rid of everyone then you’re partying with us. We’re gonna drop the ball our way." Alice replied.

    "Technically we don’t drop balls but you know what she means."

    "Up your ass Shane. She knows what I mean." Alice spat.

    The ball was dropping in 5 minutes so they all waited. Once the ball had dropped and Dana had sufficiently dogged kissing Harrison by being in the bathroom, all the women began to circle the party. Telling stories of Bette’s horrid headache. As Tina and Bette closed the door behind their last guests they retreated into the living room. There sat Alice with her legs over Dana’s lap as Dana sat uncomfortably. Tina and Bette smiled and looked in the direction of Dana’s stare. Shane was grinding against the performance artist who had retrieved her clothes from her car. If she was still nude Dana’s head would’ve exploded.

    "Where’s Kit?"

    "Right here." Kit shouted as she approached from the kitchen. "Ladies it’s time for me to head out."

    "Stay and celebrate."

    "Nope I’ve got another party to go to. I just wanted to celebrate with you all for a while. Love you all." Kit said throwing on her coat.

    "Love you too." came from all the women except for Dana. She smiled and waved. Kit shook her head and laughed as she walked out the door.

    "Dana you could’ve said it back ya know. Whether you’re ready to say it or not, we all know you don’t want Harrison for his body." Alice teased.

    "Fuck you Al. It takes me time to put my guard down."

    "I don’t see the damn purpose of that guard you’ve got anyway. You’re miserable in that closet."

    "You know why Alice but at least I know what closet I’m in. Have you decided if you’d rather fuck men or women yet?"

    "Fuck you Dana."

    "Fuck you."

    "You wish." Alice grinned knowing she had sufficiently shut Dana up. Dana was obviously embarrassed and everyone knew it.

    "I say we play a game." Shane jumped in.

    "What kind of game?" Tina asked as she snuggled against Bette’s side.

    "Truth or Dare."

Looking forward to the Truth or Dare and finding out who was with D the night before. I sure have a preference and hope I am right even though D was still deep in her closet. Thank you very much.

    6. Another new Danish author? Welcome!! And what an excellent beginning. Poor hungover Dana! Funny that her mind went straight to Harrison — although he must have left well before the private part of the party started. Sounds like she had a good time if there was back arching involved. So everyone got a little something-something on New Year’s, eh? Heh. And some are still at it. Very well written and a great story idea. You are doing a good job with Dana at this point in her life — her naiveté and how deeply closeted she was. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thanks so much wonderwoman34!!
