Alice: Okay then, but Porter I think you might need to get those big brown eyes of yours checked because they are not working correct.

Bette: What the hell are you talking about now?

Alice: Just get your eye sight checked because Tina is here.

Bette: Where!

Alice: She is the blond in the black pants suit with the camera. You know Dean Porter the camera should of gave you a hint.

Bette: I still don’t see her.

Alice: You weren’t at the top of your class at Yale were you genius, turn around she is behind you Porter.

   Bette knew what Tina Kennard looked like she had seen her on the late shows, in the magazines, and had read about all of her charity work helping the less fortunate over the years but Bette was not prepared for the beauty of this woman when she turned around. She knew that Tina was the most beautiful woman she had ever laid her eyes on.

Bette: She’s breathtaking.

   Bette didn’t realize she had said the last part out loud.

Alice: Porter did you ask me for a breath mint?

Bette: Bye Alice have fun tonight.

Alice: Where are you going?

Bette: To meet the legend Tina Kennard.

Alice: I thought you met her this afternoon?

Bette: No, I didn’t get a chance to.

Alice: Why not?

Bette: Long story Al, I will tell you later.

   Tina had been watching the conversation between Alice and her friend. The woman was tall with long brunette hair and she was gorgeous. Just looking at her gave Tina goose bumps and then she saw her smile, it was unlike any smile that Tina had ever saw. That was enough for Tina to want to know more about this woman. Tina needed to talk to her friend Alice. While in her own world Tina never saw Bette coming.

Bette: Excuse me Ms. Kennard how do you do? I am Bette Porter, the dean of the art department. I would like to extend my deepest apologizes to you for having to leave earlier this afternoon and if there is anything that I can do to make it up to you just let me know.

   Alice was right this woman is a charmer.

Tina: Dean Porter it was fine I understand how things can come up at the last minute. There is a couple of things that you can help me with.

Bette: Name them.

Tina: First please call me Tina and I still need to get your picture taken and include it with the rest of the staff pictures, so I need to schedule a time for that.

Bette: Well what about this if you are not in a big hurry after this is over we can do it then and if that don’t work for you Tina I will have my assistant let you know when I am free.

Tina: No tonight will be fine, I will meet you in your offices after this is over, is that okay?

Bette: That sounds wonderful Tina.

Tina: I will see you then but now I must get back to work, it was nice to finally meet you Dean Porter.

Bette: The pleasure was all mine Tina.

   Tina walked off with a smile on her face. She wanted to know more about this woman. She couldn’t wait until the end of the fund raiser but in the mean time she needed to find Alice.

   Bette was amazed by Tina and that don’t happen a lot. Bette needed to know more about her before she saw her again tonight. Now where was Alice.
