A Sweet Memory

Bette was excited. This was it. The weekend away they had been planning forever. Both had been so busy it seemed they never had enough time together. Six months of dating and they couldnt spend enough time together. Plus Bette had a major question to ask Tina. A life altering question and she wanted to do it in a way Tina would never forget.

Bette had made all the arrangements now she just had to set the plan in motion.
They got up early on Friday morning and loaded in the car. Heading out for a well deserved break from all.

Once they arrived at the hotel, Tina saw the marquee..she got excited.
Tina: OH! Look baby..Alicia Keyes is playing here tonight. God I love her she is one of my favorites.
Bette: I know she is Tinabut Im sure shes sold out.
Tina: You are probably right. Sounding disappointed.
Bette: But I can check when we check in, OK? She took Tinas hand to comfort her.

They were at the hotel desk and Tina asked the clerk if there were any tickets available. Of course they were sold out, but he told them that if some came up he would let them know.

They headed to there room and Bette could tell Tina was disappointed. Tina said she wanted to take a nap and Bette told her to go ahead. As she slept Bette watched her and got caught up on some reading. Bette woke her when it was time to get ready for dinner.

They both showered and dressed. Bette was wearing one of her white suits.she looked stunning as alwaysand Tina emerged looking very hot. She had on a black dress that was snug all over with a deep neck line that held Bettes gaze.

Tina: Hello, babe you ok? Earth to Bette.
Bette: Uh.yeah.you look amazing T. Damn.
Tina laughed and took her in her arms
Tina: You like this dress baby?
Bette: Oh yesvery nice.
Tina: Uh..Bette you think you could look me in the eyes when I talk. Laughing at her.
Bette: sorry..damn T.we better go to dinner.

They had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant it was very romantic and very good. They talked and were relaxed with each other. Both so happy to be here together and alone. When dessert arrived Bette had ordered it earlier and had added her own special ingredient. The waiter sat the covered dish on the table and made his exit.

Tina: Mmm, I dont know if I have room for dessert baby.
Bette: Sure you do just a bite..youll love it. Bette lifted the lid and there sat the most sinfully looking chocolate cake with hot fudge sauce dripping and cherries topping it. But what caught Tinas eye was the plastic envelope that laid on the side of the dish..it simply said Tina.
Tina looked at Bette.

Tina: Whats this?
Bette: Well you need to look at it to find out. I have no idea. She smiled.

Tina picked up the envelope as Bette took a bite of the rich cake. There was a shriek as Tina opened the envelope. Inside were two tickets to see the Alicia Keyes concert.

Tina: OH my God!!! Bette baby what..? How? She reached over and pulled Bette into her arms. She hugged her tight. And was kissing her face.

Tina: How did you do this ..he said they were sold out for weeks.
Bette: Well you see when I made these plans..I also got the tickets. I knew you wanted to see her so bad. I wanted to do this for you.
Tina: This is the best..thank you so much. God.this is great!
Bette: Well T..you might want to finish your dessert because the concert is in an hour and I suggest we get a move on.
Tina: I dont need the dessert.I have the best and sweetest one right here..she kissed her deeplythank you. Lets go.

They went to the concert. Tina was in heaven.she loved every moment of it. Bette was smiling the whole time knowing she gave this to Tina. But the night was young..she had another surprise in store.
After the concert..they went back to their room. Both still on a high from the night.
Bette asked Tina to get comfy and relax on the bed Ill be right back.

Bette went into the bathroom and composed herselfgod she was so nervous. She took a deep breath and went into Tina.
She sat opposite of her and handed Tina a card and a small box. A ring box. Tina looked stunned and stared at Bette.
Bette: Go ahead T.open the box, then the card.
Tina opened the box it was empty..confused but playing along she opened the card.
She read the card and was almost in tears.

This box is empty because there is no way a boxor any container is big enough to hold something as great as our love..it has no limits..it cannot be contained.

Bette: T.I..wantto ask you something. She was so nervous. Sweating, shaking.
Tina.I love you.we never have enough time togetherI need to see you every day. T.would you..would youmove in with me?

Tina was ecstatic.she was crying.but it was a happy cryshe was laughing.cryingher mouth hanging open.god she was in shock. She just grabbed Bette and kissed her.

Bette: pulling back..is that a yes? Youll move in?

Tina: Oh.sorry baby.yes god yes..Id love to live with you.I love you so much.
After Tina finally answered Bette pulled out the ring that belonged in the box, she had it in her pocket. She took Tinas hand and put the ring on her finger..it fit perfect.

Bette: This is for you.a ring is a symbol of love..our love. Continuous and never ending.
They were both crying now holding each other.
Bette knew she loved this woman more than anyone ever. This was the right thing it felt good to give her heart to her completely. She finally felt whole.

Bette leaned in and laid Tina on the bed.
Bette: Let me show you how much I love you baby. This is our night. Let me make love to you.
Tina: Oh yes baby show me.
