Bette let out a defeated sigh. ‘Oh shit! Here we go…’
“Do you remember when we got to Alice’s place and I got that call from Isabella Anders, the artist whose exhibit is coming up?”
Tina nodded her head and grabbed a handful of grapes. “Mmmhmmm.”
“I took the call in the car while you went to get the girls. Anyway, do you remember being hungry?”
“Yes, I was starving!” Tina recalled, now putting a slice of cheese on a cracker.
‘The munchies.’ Bette smiled at the blonde’s growing appetite. “Well, I had no idea what Alice had been up to and apparently she whipped up some of her… special brownies.”
The insinuation in Bette’s tone clearly was not picked up by Tina who exclaimed, “Oh my God, they were so good!”
‘This is clearly not going well.’ Bette cleared her throat. “The thing is Tee…Alice put something extra in those brownies.”
Tina looked at Bette with a puzzled expression. “Like a family recipe…secret ingredient?” She prepared another piece of cheese with her cracker and continued to nibble away.
With a deep breath, Bette decided it was time to bite the bullet…now. “More like pot.”
Tina nearly choked on the cheese cracker. “What?”
Bette ran her hand in soothing circles over Tina’s back and handed her some water. Bette wanted to get the rest of the story out as fast as possible and then hoped it would just disappear. “The entire thing was…she didn’t know you had the brownies until it was too late…and I don’t really have all the answers at this point because Alice herself was rather out of it.”
Tina was still accepting the fact that she had pot brownies. ‘I haven’t done that since…college? No wonder everything was so funny…and fuzzy…’
Tina focused on Bette once again who continued, “I mean…I don’t know why she did not say anything to us. Well I do know why…she knew that I would…” Bette controlled her words and anger, “Be upset and wring her neck. But Alice was in pretty bad shape. Shane and I pulled her out of her hamper for Christ’s sake….”
“Hamper?” Tina asked, between sips of water.

Bette is so cute and honest. I think I would be a little bit mean (as you are with us!) with Tina and say something like: “And then you put your hands between my legs while I was driving and we almost died in a car accident!” =P Are they going to take a shower together next chapter?! ^^

Briliant update as always roomie. Love how Bette’s trying to sugar coat everything. I think the NC-17 should definitely be your next update – I mean Bette’s already got “the look” from Tina right :). Hey Luv here’s a big e-hug to make you feel better :). As per the story Tina ia a handful and Bette is so adorable trying to make Tina feel better and not telling her anything that she thinks will upset Tina. Loved this! I cant wait for that update that’s gonna take me off my feet ;)* my helmet all secured and my tush planted safely amongst the best pillow fort ever! *thumbs up* *giggles* PPVS Thanksies :)
I forgot to add, I like how considerate Bette is with how Tina will react. It is tender and endearing. Let them gaze into each other’s eyes longer. More than words are spoken there. PPVS!
