    Bette is receiving mixed signals from Tina…

    As they all got up to leave, they can see Rachel in the distance fawning all over Tina in front of a group of people.

     

    Bette felt anger brewing deep within but could not blame the redhead. ‘I’d be doing that if you were mine Tina…’ 

     

    Tina happens to glance over and catches Bette looking at her.  Even from across the room, she can sense Bette’s sadness and it tugs at her heart.  Tina gives Bette a reassuring smile and slight wave from afar.  ‘I’ll be bringing that jacket back to you first thing tomorrow, Bette Porter.’

     

    Bette gave a feeble smile back.  ‘So much for the personal guided tour.’  With that thought, Bette walked out of the club with the support of her friends.

     

    After endless hours of schmoozing with the head honchos at The Factory, Tina knew she had put in her time and was free to go home.

     

    “Rachel, you ready to go?”  Tina asked in a tired voice.

     

    “Yes, these heels are killing me!”  Rachel complained as they made their way to the car.

     

    “I think we did a great job with the launch.  Agree?”

     

    “Definitely, Tina.  Everyone was so pleased.  I’m lucky to have you.”

     

    Tina smiled.  “Likewise.  We make good partners.  Alphaville better appreciate our dynamic duo ways!”

     

    Rachel laughed.  “Hey, you hardly drank.  I didn’t even have to be your designated driver tonight.”

     

    ‘I am intoxicated…’ Tina thought to herself.  ‘By Bette Porter…the effect she has on me!’

     

    “I’m exhilarated this project is out of the way!” Tina said excitedly. ‘Now I can focus on Bette…returning her jacket and maybe getting that tour.

     

    At the Porter residence, Bette tossed and turned all night and well into the morning hours.  She constantly glanced at the clock which seemed to display the same time with every check.  Bette had given up hope in finding sleep and was up at five o’ clock sharp.

     

    Thoughts of Tina swirled endlessly in her head.  ‘I thought we had this insane connection.’  Bette shook her head in disbelief and never would have guessed Tina was with someone, especially given their flirty banter.   

     

    An hour and a half later, Bette had showered, dressed and was storming around the gallery.  Opening hours were not until noon but she had to do something or she’d go crazy thinking about Tina Kennard…and ugh – her girlfriend!

    4. Still love it and I’m glad all misunderstandings have been cleared up. Please let Bette stop jumping to conclusions before getting all the facts (I know classic Bette) this looks like it is shaping up to be a great romance/love story. PPVS ;)

    8. and now for the tour….and we know what could happen during private tours, right??? hmmmm…:) glad all the misinterpretations of certain situations have been cleared. ohhhh…and i love those text messages…that would make anyone smile even for a tiny bit…

    10. Heh. First Alice with her Queen comment, and now James and his quip about God. You really have these characters down pat. I’m loving the loyalty and friendship the girls are showing Bette as well. And Tina – so happy she set the record straight, so to speak. Loved this update – a very gouda chapter.
