    Bette talks to the girls before her date with Tina; the happy couple reunite for dinner…

    Tina smiled into the phone.  “Well…it’s not an elaborate yacht date.”  Tina warned.

    “I just want to be with you, Tee.”

    Tina could hear the sincerity in the brunette’s voice and smiled.  “How about you come over to my place at six for dinner?”

    “Dinner at the Kennard residence sounds lovely.  What would you like me to bring?”

    “Nothing at all,” Tina answered.  “I just want you, Bette.”  Tina’s eyes widened when she realized what she said.  Her palms began to perspire when she realized her answer could not have been more honest.

    “Can’t wait, Tee.”  Bette replied honestly, knowing she’d be counting down the minutes until she was reunited with Tina…to hold her in her arms…to possibly continue the variety of kisses for research purposes…

    “Neither can I.  See you soon.” 

    Each woman had the most lopsided smile on their face and could not wait for the evening that awaited them…

     

    Bette hung up the phone and uncharacteristically jumped out of bed with a spring in each step to the bathroom.  ‘Another date with Tina!’  Her energy level suddenly shot up dramatically and she needed to get out of the house.  She wanted to be distracted so that her excited nerves would survive until six o’ clock. 

     

    Bette decided to hit The Planet where the girls congregated in their usual late Sunday routine and then pass by the Gallery to keep busy with some work.

     

    Bette sauntered into The Planet and smiled as she saw Alice talking to Dana and Shane in her animated way, arms flailing about.

     

    “Good morning, ladies!”  Bette greeted them, taking a seat at the table.

     

    “Well, well…speaking of the horny little devil.”  Alice gave Bette a wry smile.

     

    “She doesn’t mean that literally,” Dana said sheepishly.

     

    “The fuck I don’t!”  Alice laughed.

     

    “Al was filling is in on your date with Tina,” Shane informed Bette. 

     

    “Ah yes, gossip girl strikes again,” Bette smiled, gesturing Alice with her hands.

     

    “A yacht, huh?”  Dana grinned.

     

    “Mr. Schulder’s 100 foot luxury Cloud Nine,” Bette answered.

     

    “Impressive.” Shane murmured between sipping coffee.

     

    “That’s Tina,” Bette replied with a smile, knowing Shane was probably referring to the yacht.

    29. I’m just back from work and it was a very very shitty day. I felt terrible till I read this chapter. Now I really feel a lot better. Thank you very much. Just what I needed. Now I’m sitting here and just smile. Definitely the best way to erase such a day.
