“Awww,” Dana sighed, “They’re too cute!”
Surprisingly, there were no comments from Alice who was busy snapping photos non-stop.

“Babe,” Tina said softly, running her hand soothingly over Bette’s back, “You don’t have to do this.”
Bette forced a smile at her girlfriend. “One last attempt, Tee?”
Tina couldn’t help but grin at Bette’s determination. “Last, babe.”
And with that, Bette focused on the balloon and threw the dart. It pierced the pale blue balloon and popped instantly.
“Yes!” Bette exclaimed excitedly and planted a kiss on Tina’s lips.
Tina could not control the release of a small giggle in watching her girlfriend’s reaction. “Happy now?”
Bette glanced at her with the corners of her mouth upturned. “Almost…”
Tina looked at Bette quizzically.
Bette asked the man behind the carnival game booth, “From which prizes do we select?”
The man used his hand to gesture a group of small stuffed animals. “Any of these.”
Bette turned to look at Tina and wiggled her eyebrows. “What will it be, Tee?”
Tina wrapped her arm around Bette’s waist and examined the selection. “Sponge Bob…Bugs Bunny…Pepe Le Pew…or Winnie the Pooh.”
Bette shrugged her shoulders at the grim selection. “I tried baby…”
Tina pulled the brunette into a warm embrace. “You succeeded.” Then Tina turned to the man, “Pepe Le Pew please.”
The man handed Pepe over and the two women turned to walk back to the trio waiting at the pier.
Tina looked at her small stuffed toy and smiled at Bette. “He’ll remind me of you.”
Bette had an anxious expression. “I’m afraid to ask why…a malodorous scent?”
“God no!” Tina burst out into laughter and nuzzled her nose into Bette’s neck. “You smell delicious…”
The feel of Tina so close began to drive Bette insane. Bette tried to focus on her unanswered question. “Then what?”
Tina didn’t know that Bette was still referring to her previous question about Pepe. She looked at the brunette with sudden shyness and softly responded. “Um…you’re delicious enough for me to take a bite?”
“Thanks,” Bette chuckled. “But I wanted to know why Pepe reminds you of me?”

“And why the hell is Tina carrying a skunk?” LOL, loved this chappie – typical Alice spoiling the mood at the end ;P No where near as long as the epic 2k’s, but I forgive you, because as you’ve said many times, I STILL have yet to post my next chapter, for which I again apologise, so I have no right to complain. Keep em’ coming mate :) P.S. I had no idea Penelope was a cat…you learn something new every day huh ;) (btw, I love your PMS too.)
You know those twirly smiley things on the other site that laugh so hard they fall down? That’s me with Alice’s last outburst.
Dude!!! I totally thought I commented on this chapter! I loved Pepe LePew, he was hilarious. Though you left me wondering just WHY Bette googled that lol. And Tina, tsk, tsk. Most of the episodes (or maybe I just remember one that totally stuck in my mind) began with the cat walk under a paintbrush covered in white paint and hence turn into a skunk. I didn’t know her name was Penelope, though. So cute that Bette finally won something in a carnival game. As someone who’s worked in an amusement park, I can tell you that the winning rate is small enough so that Bette shouldn’t feel too bad. But hey, it is Bette Porter, woman extraordinaire, so the rules are different for her. Also, I melted at your comparison of Bette and Pepe. I don’t know that I would have made the connection, but they’re totally the same lol. I still want you to post soon even if I forget to comment :D
What can I say? It’s good to see bette win a game finally… these two are just too cute together.. loving alice’s comments and of course shane’s coolness… gonna go now and tell my girl that she has to win a prize for me too *gg*hope to read some more soon

Finally, Bette won something at that carnival; wouldn’t want her to get a stroke. Alice as an unofficial paparazzi for B&T is priceless. I wouldn’t be surprised if some time down the road, Alice, may use some of these pix as extortion against B&T. LOL

Yep you were able to coax a pain-free squeal outta me with this chapter. Typical Bette – she has to prove herself – even if it *is* a carnival game. These two are just too good together and you’ve captured that magnificently. You’ve made an otherwise cranky and crabby Lil’ G into a happy patient. :)
