She half expected Eric to come home but he didn’t, she sent him a text wondering if he was coming home. No response. She let Jackson have some ice cream while they watched a movie together. Since it was the weekend, they stayed up a bit, both of them falling asleep on the couch. She woke to the sunlight hitting her face. She read the clock, it was a little after eight, and found a couple missed texts from Bette. She decided to get up and get ready and take Jackson to the Planet for breakfast. She showered and got dressed, then woke her sleeping prince and got him bathed and ready and left. She’d finish packing once she got back.

She arrived at the Planet a little after nine and the parking lot was pretty full. Kit was always busy on the weekend, so she was hoping her favorite table was open. She parked and grabbed Jackson and went inside. Jackson squealed with delight when he saw Kit, he loved being with Kit and helping her.

“Hey there Jackie, how are you sweet thing,” Kit said to which Jackson smiled and hugged her.

“Great Kit! Mom and I watched movies and had ice cream, and we are moving!”

“Moving,” Kit asked and shift her eyes to Tina, “are you ok baby girl?”

“It’s a very long story Kit.”

“You know you can tell me anything.”

“I know. I just had a really long and emotional day yesterday.”

“Well an order of my famous pancakes can help you with that,” she said and winked, “have a seat, I’ll bring them out to you. He squirt, you wanna come help me?”

“Yes,” Jackson screamed.

“Ok, let’s go little dude.”

“Thanks Kit, Jackson, mind Kit,” she said and he gave her a thumbs up.

“Someone is waiting on you,” Kit said and she turned and saw Bette sitting at their favorite table. Her head was down in a book, and Tina smiled.

“You look so sexy when you’re studying,” she whispered into my ear.

“Tee! I missed you so much,” I said and went to kiss her and stopped. We never showed affection in public for fear someone would see us and tell Eric. But she leaned in and kissed me softly and sat in the chair in front of me. I was still buzzing off that little high she gave me when she spoke.
