    “You’re not going to lose her, Miss Kennard.” Helena whispered reassuringly. She shared more information about the arrangement for the brunette to stay in solitary, and about her private order to a couple of girls to keep an eye out for signs of hits, she seemed to soothe the raging anxiety in the blonde woman. “Bette said don’t worry about her. And it’s ok if you can’t find the person. It’s a long shot anyways. She holds another leverage, against the feds, if it ever comes down to that.”

    “I won’t let it come down to anything.” Tina said with resolution. The fight in her hazel pools of teary lights shined, making everything else, even the morning sun, pale in comparison.

    Helena tilted her head and raised her brows in approval. “Ok then. Good luck to both of you.” As she saw the guard moving to the microphone, calling times up for this round of visitation, her smile returned. A gossipy but kind smile it was. “I can’t believe I’m saying this… Bette wanted me to tell you that uh… she loves you, more than anything in the world and she’ll never let anything happen to you. It’s a promise.”

    Tears almost flew out of her eyes. Tina fumbled out an envelope she was able to bring in. “I uh… I took your advice and brought this.” She shoved it in Helena’s hands and stood, waiting the guard to call her up.

    Without scruples, the Brit opened the envelope before Tina could do anything to hinder her curiosity. Then her eyes almost bulged out of her skull to see several pages cut out of a magazine. They weren’t just any pages. It was for an underwear advertisement. And the model wasn’t just any model. It was a much younger Tina, with a shorter hairdo and a youthful glow on the pink cheeks, posing before the camera, some in a provocative slumber dress, some in barely anything at all. “What the—!?”

    “I did some modeling to get through medschool!” Tina exclaimed, now turning a shade of crimson.
