She wore a slight frown as she gently stroked Tina’s hair. Armed
with all of the facts about Tina’s whirlwind romance Helena didn’t
exactly share Tina’s enthusiasm for the wonderful Bette Porter.
Of course she didn’t say anything to Tina, not wanting to spoil the
happiness that shone from Tina’s warm expressive face. But to say
that she was concerned was an understatement.
Helena thought she would never see Tina so defeated as she did after
the Lion attack. Her body beaten and broken, and her free spirit
crushed. Little did she realise that she would be picking up the
pieces of Tina’s shattered heart only a few weeks later. She had
travelled back to LA with Tina, and had stayed in her mother’s
penthouse there, while Tina returned to San Diego and her so called
girlfriend.
Helena’s mouth curled up with distain as she thought of the woman that
had inflicted so much pain on the beautiful blonde in her arms. She had
never liked her, believing that she wasn’t good enough for her good
friend. Although she had wished she hadn’t been proved right in
such a harsh manner.
She remembered the call she received like it was yesterday. Tina
sobbing down the phone to her. Of course she had got to her as
fast as she could. Luckily she had still been in LA, but if the
truth was known she would have moved heaven and earth to be there,
wherever she had been when the call came through.
She had tried for so long to get Tina to regain some of her own life
back, the pain of Tina’s lifeless dull eyes cutting her to the
core. And now it seemed that she had unwittingly played a hand in
Tina meeting one Bette Porter.
She had begged Tina to take on a photography commission for her Mothers
private collection, playing on their friendship, and reminding Tina
that she said she would do anything for her. In reality she knew
that Tina’s financial situation was not good, and despite repeated
arguments she had refused to sell any of her work. Helena knew
that to offer her financial assistance would be a waste of time, so she
did the only thing she could. On the back of Tina accepting that
request and the hard earned money it bought to her, it had bought Bette
Porter into her life.

Great chapter !!! The friendship between Tina and Helena is a bit weird to me right now but it seems ok…as lng as the rosbiff stays out of B/T way !!!

TB — you are a rascal and a half. wonderful to have you back, at least you’ve given helena a sense of humour – the scriptwriters seem to have missed that out for some reason. but i don’t trust her — but as i trust you we’ll go with that for now. great as always

Uh…hmmm…”bloody Americans,” huh T? LOL…Bette is in a ton of trouble, and of course, you know it is Helena that is going to make sure that happens!!! But, thinking about it…you can’t really blame Helena can you, cause in the end, Bette brought on any trouble herself, didn’t she? I adore your writing T. By the way…loved the windows!!
