    She dials the 10 digits on the telephone…The phone rings and rings and rings…Someone answers…

    Bette: Hello hi may I speak with Peggy Peabody

    Woman: May I ask who’s calling please?

    Bette: This is Bette Porter

    Woman: Please hold

    The line goes silent for a second before the woman answers again

    Woman: Please hold while I transfer you

    Bette: Thanks

    The woman transfers the call for Bette…Peggy Peabody answers

    Peggy Peabody: Bette Porter how nice of you to call…

    Bette: Thanks. But I am calling regarding my 2 years left on my contract…

    CAC CONTINUED…

    Peggy Peabody: Oh dear please tell me that my daughter didn’t do such a thing?

    Bette: No not yet but as of Monday I am out of a job I don’t know what to do.

    Peggy Peabody: Ms. Porter give me until tomorrow to take care of this once and for all…

    Bette: Thank you Peggy. I hope for a positive outcome through all of this

    Peggy Peabody: Ms. Porter when I said that you had 2 years left I meant 2 years. I like to play fair. And since you have been doing so good I want to extend your contract for another 5 more years. So it would be 6 years total. And by then you never know you might end up owning the gallery.

    Bette put the phone over her chest…She was happy that she did good by people because you never know when you might need them. It’s always good to never burn your bridges even if you don’t get along with the person. She thanked god silently and hoped for the best. Bette always tried to keep faith in her heart no matter what. She has a child on the way and she can’t afford to be laid off even with the money that she had stashed for a rainy day…She didn’t want to struggle….Everything is going so well…She hoped for the best…Bette forgets that she has Peggy on the phone she takes the phone to her ear and speaks into the speaker…

    Peggy Peabody: Bette Porter are you there?

    Bette: Yes. I’m sorry I had to take in what was just said

    Peggy Peabody: No problem Ms. Porter now I must go. I have alot of lives I must save thanks to my child like daughter I always seem to clean up her messes. No offense
