    At the hospital

    Chapter 8

     

    Tina couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Her bright, amazing daughter had done the one things she had always been scared off. She’d got her pregnant by a man who had then walked off. Tina sat down slowly. She didn’t know what to say she was in total shock and had gone pale. She wasn’t ready to be a grandmother, Ellie’s not even 10 yet. She took slow deep breathes. Really not knowing that was going on. She looked at Bette, who was stood looking at her daughter in complete and utter shock. This was not what she expected.

                “Please say something.” Angie whispered. She was so scared. Her body shaking. Tina got up and took her into her arms.

                “Aww baby.” Tina said as tears ran down her face. She really didn’t know how to react.

                “I can’t believe it.” Bette said rubbing her forehead. “You are supposed to be going to Yale.”

                “I can’t think about that right now Mamma.” Angie said she was crying so hard now.

                “How did this happen?” Bette asked.

                “You know how it happens Bette?” Tina said at once. She was suddenly overprotective of Angie.

                “That’s not what I meant Ti and you know it.”

                “It was a mistake Mom please.” Angie said.

                “It’s done now.” Tina said at once.  “We can’t change that. It is no good getting mad. We need to talk about this.”

                “I know.” Bette said sitting down on the other sofa. She ran her fingers through her hair. She couldn’t believe it. Just as she was about to speak again when the front door flew open. Tina looked at Cameron and couldn’t find the words, his white t-shirt was covered in blood.

                “Cameron are you okay?” Bette jumped up.

                “I’m fine but El…oh God momma I’m so sorry.” He started to cry.

                “Cam what is it?” Tina said getting up and looking at her son.

                “El’s been shot.”

                “What the fuck?” Bette said.

                “I didn’t know Momma I didn’t know.”

                “We will talk later, get in the car. AJ GET IN THE CAR.” Bette yelled as everyone ran out the house. AJ not even knowing what was happening.

    5. Wow, that was some update. Common sense is so lacking in some of the younger generation. These kids have had so much given to them and still they do stupid things. Cameron and Angie need to grow up and stop being so self absorbed. Its amazing how many times its the innocent ones that are collateral damage. I hope the family surrounds them as they surely need the support. Thanks for the update.
