    "Can’t what babe?"

    Tina’s pov

    -Looking up into my lovers eyes and catching her vibes grasped my attention. She was acting a little strange. Never before in our seven years of marriage has she ever pulled away from me when another woman was around. I felt insecure and was unsure of what to say or do.

     

    "I have a meeting. Could you wait for me in here?"

    "Why here? Can’t I explore your interesting gallery? The exhibits are amazing."

    "No! Stay here. I’ll be back soon."

    She leans in to kiss me on the cheek. Not a single taste of my lovers lips. There was defintely something different about my suspicious wife.

     

    The friendship kiss to my cheek ended quickly. Like a flash she was leaving me and walking out into the hall. She never looked back to give me that seductive look she gave me everytime I came to see her. Now, she seemed under a lot of pressure and she wasn’t as attentative.

     

    I know that she had a meeting to attend, but, that’s never stopped us from being close to one another. Being confined to her office gave me chills that anched my spine. There was something wrong with Bette and before the day was over I had planned to find out.

     

    Sitting down and impersonating Bette was interesting. I enjoyed sitting where she sat everyday and touching the things she came to value. Her computer, phone, desk, materials, articles, ect.

     

    My woman was a hardworking one and I was proud to be by her side. She meant the world to me and at times I swore I looked up to her. To me, she had the answer to everything. She’s an intelligent individual with an IQ level of110.

     

    Knock! Knock!

    "Bette…"

    The sound of a woman’s voice caught my attention. Before I could respond the doors were opening. The first thing I thought was who had given this woman permission to enter my wife’s work station. OH MY GOD! It was the same pretty woman from earlier.

     

    "I’m sorry. Is Bette here?"

    "No. She’s in a meeting. If you wait around she’ll be back soon. I’ll say about fifteen to twenty minutes possibly."

    1. It is a sign-Bette needs to stay away from Candace (if she can). Welcome Back Cuteface! Time for Bette to go home and face the music (Tina that is). After seeing the intersaction b/w Bette and Candace she knows that something is up so the questions is will Bette come clean or try to cover up her minor lapse in judgement. post soon! My weekend plans have been washed out by hurricane ernesto so i’m ready to read whatever you post.

    3. I am a tibette fan all the way and like so many others I hate the idea of Bette or Tina being unfaithful. I so hope u don’t have Bette cheating on Tina, she needs to go home and talk to her wife.

What I was trying to say is, I’m sorry that my bias against the Candace storyline from the show is getting in the way of appreciating your story for itself. …I absolutely hate the idea of Bette or Tina being unfaithful. Hopefully, your Bette will come to her senses (the sentimental one), as her physical sense seems about to get her into trouble. Thanks for posting!

    7. I thought Bette and Candace were hot and I was glad to see someone take care of Bette for once, and I don’t mean just sexually. Bette needed to be held and loved too, and Tina wasn’t doing it.

    8. I sincerely hope that whomever came up with the Candace contrivance will be struck dead by a bolt of lightning. …Candace’s appearance on the show was the signpost that indicated “Going South”. Bette and Tina together could have held the center while the other characters rambled in their vagaries. While the actress was certainly physically attractive, and it was noble to have another woman of color cast on the show, I still cannot separate the issues in my mind. Thus, I’m not giving you the benefit of the doubt and commenting on your own personal interpretation of this encounter. Yes, love is blind and hatred is too, it seems. But thanks for contributing to the site. Aren’t you the author of Baby A? Where is she? Thanks!

    9. Wow. I am very curious to see where you are taking this.I loved that noone except Tina and James are aloud in her office.I’m sorry that I don’t know what I think about what’s happening with Bette and Candice.I will continue to read though. Keep up the great work.

    10. I am truly intrigued by this story! I’ve wanted to see a fic with some take of what could have been going on in these character’s heads. I certainly agree that Candace’s pursuit of Bette and Bette’s betrayal of her ltr were both very wrong! At the same time, I appreciated the drama that it brought to the show and am sorry that we didn’t continue to see the lovely Candace remain in S2 as a tension point to challenge Bette’s resolve to reconcile with Tina. I am a Tibetter, so ultimately, I want to see them together, but I am definitely interested in seeing where you take this story–a great start!

    12. wow! how many times will Candace get her lips on Bette before B relaizes that she is not willing to give up what she has with Tina? Bette seems really conflictd and thinking too much with the small head instead of the big one! I hope Tina stakes her claim on her woman instead of being so naive. I hated that Bette cheated, but i’m loving your take on it.

    14. This story has Bette TOTALLY disrespecting Tina. If I was Tina I would have asked point blank in that office with the 2 of them there since she had a bad vibe about them. Especially when she found out that Candace lied about her name…who does that when she knows all it takes is for someone to come in there and call her Candace. This story has Bette and Candace acting like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum…at this point Bette dosen’t deserve Tina…I am a Tibetter but if the end of seson 1 had turned into this…the only sounds heard would have been the majority of us cancelling Showtime. I’m not knocking your writing and I will continue to read it cause I am sick like that…lol

    15. Always happy to see people contribute and want to say thank you for sharing. But, definitly not my cup o’ tea, when I started reading it I thought you would be redoing the episode and have Bette wake up and not cheat. So won’t be reading anymore but, I did want to say thanks for sharing.

    19. I sure hope that you do not go in the same direction of the show. BTW Helena is being introduced so if Bette fucks Candace, Tina will fuck Helena and I am not interested in seeing that. Great writing though.
