An Impossible Romance – Chapter Three – I Feel The Same

“What is wrong with you?!” Glenn yelled. “You are constantly avoiding me! It’s been at least a month and a half since we had sex! I have needs you know! I love you but I can’t live like this anymore! What is wrong with you?!”

Suddenly, Bette began to cry. She couldn’t do this anymore. The constant fighting, the struggle with her emotions and the pressure of the filming. She just couldn’t. Her knees gave in and she fell to her knees, her head in her hands, sobbing. Glenn was next to her, trying to hug her saying sorry but she pushed him away.

“Just leave me alone, Glenn. Go away.” Bette said.

    “But, sweetie,…”

“Go away!” She yelled in tears. He stood up and walked out, slamming the door behind him. After fifteen minutes, the sobbing subsided and Bette managed to get up. She sat down on the couch and took her phone. She dialed her favorite number.

    “Hello?” Came a sweet voice.

    “Tina?” Bette asked.

“Bette? What’s wrong? You are crying.” Tina said.

“Another fight with Glenn, I can’t take it anymore. I just can’t take it anymore.” Bette told her.

“Why don’t you come over? We can talk about it, it maybe makes you feel better.” Tina said.

Bette took a few deep breaths. Would she take the risk? She knew that being close to Tina was bittersweet. It was a feeling of belonging and love but also a feeling of doing something bad, of being unfaithful even though they had never done anything offset. Even though it was bittersweet, she still couldn’t stay away from Tina.

“Okay, I’ll be there in 10 minutes.” Bette said.

“I’ll be waiting.” Tina told her.

    —————-

Tina and Bette sat on the blonde’s couch drinking thee.

“Tell me what happened.” Tina softly commanded.

“I had a fight with Glenn once again.” Bette told her.

“What was it about?” Tina wanted to know.

Bette took a deep breath. “That I’m pulling away from him, that he doesn’t feel loved anymore and that we don’t have enough sex.”

    “Why is that?” Tina asked.

“Because… I think… because I’m… having feelings for someone else.” Bette said.

Tina’s heart began beating faster. Could it be that Bette was talking about her?

“Who is it?” Tina asked softly.

Bette looked at Tina and swallowed. “I can’t tell you.”

“Do I know… him?” Tina asked, she wanted to find out what gender the person had before going crazy.

Bette rubbed her forehead. “It’s not a man.”

    Tina was freaking out inside.

“Do I know her?” Tina wanted to know.

Bette leaned back into the sofa and slipped her fingers through her hair. “Yeah, you do.”

Tina swallowed. Would she  ask it or not? She decided to do it; she could always turn it into a joke. “Bette?”

    “Yeah?”

    “Is it… me?” Tina asked.

Bette was shocked. How did Tina know that? She looked at Tina, who was almost trembling. “Y… yes…”

On Tina’s face developed a smile.

    “Really?” She asked.

“Yeah…” Bette said. “Why aren’t you angry or at least shocked?”

Tina chuckled. “I kinda feel the same…”

    “Are you serious?”

    “Yes.”

    There developed a silence.

“What will we do about it?” Bette asked after a while.

    “I don’t know… I don’t want to hurt my husband.”

    “Me neither.” Bette said.

“We should… I think we should just use… this… on the set and off screen we shouldn’t act on it.” Tina said.

“You are right…” Bette said, her mind saying that it was the best, her heart screaming no.

    “This is… weird.” Tina said.

Bette chuckled. “Yeah…. are you still planning on having a baby with Ron?”

Tina nodded. “Yeah, I’ve always wanted a baby.”

    Bette heart was bleeding…

Tina turned to Bette. “Do you still want a baby with Glenn?”

    Bette nodded. “Yeah.”

Tina’s heart felt like it was ripped to pieces.

    “Okay…” She answered.

“I… should go back home. Glenn will be wondering where I am.”

“Yeah… See you Monday.” Tina said.

“See ya Monday.” Bette said. She knew the way. She walked to the door and into the cold night air. Now, she couldn’t wait for Monday. Gosh, she was in so much trouble…

QUESTION: How do you want this to go?

    A) Letting the girls cheat on their husbands and then come out while the series are still going on.

    B) Let it be a secret affair and not let them come out until the series end.

    Comments

    1. That was good. I think u should let them break up with their husbands and they have a secret affair and not let them come out until the series end, just let everybody wondering why the 2 leading actress leave their husband and be single and everybody wanna know why ahhaha. Please post more, thanks!

    2. Given a choice I’m always going to choose the moralistic route. It’s going to be enough of a blow to the husbands that their wives leave them for women. Add to that cheating on them and since they both want kids using their husbands as sperm donors is every kind of WRONG in my book. I say they break up with their husbands then it’s up to them if they want to keep their affair secret or not but please avoid the cheating and avoid the pregnancies until they get together and have their own children. Bette and Tina don’t always have to leave a trail of devastation just to act on their impulses to be together. The low road may be more popular but their union will be so much sweeter if they take the high road for once.

    3. Love the concept of this story. For what it’s worth here’s my belated two cents. I’m not a fan of infidelity – period. I’d rather see both B&T resolve their relationships with their spouses before moving on to more serious matter (if you get my drift ;). I think the potential ‘tension’ created in the meantime would be interesting to follow. I’ll have to keep reading to see where you take this….

    4. Hi I_Cant_Be_Defeated, This is the first of your stories that I have read and what a stormer it is. I want Bette and Tina to fight their attraction as much as they can and then walk away from their marriages before they consummate their relationship. The waiting would be an agonizing struggle but better to unite free and single than as cheaters. I agree with “ut” on this. The fun could be the press’s determination to find out exactly what is going on and then when they come out a media frenzy begins. Whatever you choose I will be waiting to read it all. Now going back to your earlier stories. You are a brilliant author and I am really enjoying your words. A Fan.

    5. Even though I love Tibette, gosh I do, but I will go with B. I like this in the concept of Jennifer and Laurel so it makes us think that’s how it really was, but I think deep down it was
