Alice:  “Holy…Is that…and…?”

She was having a hard time processing a coherent thought.  Bette was having some difficulty too as her mouth hung open.

Bette:  “Uh huh.”

They finally reached the table.  Harmony and Bette’s eye’s locked.  Harmony dressed like this for one person and one person only, and it appeared they approved.  She never took her eyes off Bette as she spoke.

Harmony:  “Hiya girls.”

Kit, Alice :  “Heyyyyyyy.”

Harmony walked over to Bette and leaned down to her ear.

Harmony:  “May I have this dance?”

Bette, still unable to form sentences just nodded in the affirmative.  Harmony took her hand and lead her to the dance floor.  Carmen announced them as they stepped out.

Carmen:  “Everyone I’d like to introduce to you the new mommies to be, Bette and Harmony!”

Everyone applauded as they began to sway to the beat.  Right as Carmen made her announcement Tina just happened to walk in.  She was stunned as she stood in the threshold of the café/club.  Shane saw her and tried to catch her as she turned on her heals and left but she couldn’t cut through the crowd fast enough.  Back on the floor Bette and Harmony were oblivious to what was going on around them.  They just stared into each others eyes and danced.

Harmony:  “Aren’t you going to say something?”

Bette:  “I can’t.”

Harmony looked worried.

Harmony:  “Why?  You don’t like it?”

Bette:  “No, No!  Its definitely not that.  I love it.  I’m…speechless.”

Harmony laughed.

Harmony:  “That’s what I was going for cuz we know how hard that is for you.”

Bette nudged her a little.

Bette:  “You look beautiful.  You did this for me?”

Harmony:  “Yes and no.  I was for you yes but partly for me too.  Kind of a goodbye to the old me and hello to the mommy me.  Mothers really shouldn’t dress like this.”

Bette:  “You sound regretful.”

Harmony:  “Oh no babe, I’m not.  Believe me.  It’s time.  And I want nothing more then to have your child, our child.  It’s just going to take some getting used to, you know?”

Bette:  “I know exactly what you mean.  But um….about the outfit?”
