Harmony:  “Yeah?”

Bette:  “Could we keep it around, like for me and you?”

Harmony laughed and wrapped her arms around her neck.

Harmony:  “For you baby?  Anything.”

Back at the table Alice sat next to D.

Alice :  “Hey there D.”

D:  “Al.  What’s up?”

Alice :  “Um, nothing. Nothing.  You’re looking pretty spiffy there tonight.”

D:  “Am I?  Thanks.”

Alice :  “You do this for the party?”

D:  “Yeah sorta.  I’m going to be like an auntie to this kid, I have to kiss my old partying ways goodbye too.”

Alice :  “That’s sweet.”

Alice looked disappointed.

D:  “I may have worn it for someone else too.”

She looked as if new life had been breathed into her.

Alice :  “You um, want anything?  A drink or something?”

D:  “How bout a dance?”

Alice :  “Really?  Sure.”

They both rose and went to the dance floor.  Women looked on envious of Bette and

Alice at this moment.  They were dancing with two of the most beautiful women in the place right now.  As they were dancing Bette and Alice looked at each other.  Bette grinned wildly as Alice mouthed ‘oh my gosh’ to Bette as her eyes bugged out of her head.  As they turned around D gave Harmony a thumbs up and Harmony winked at her.  They two couples spent the rest of the night either dancing or whispering to each other in corners.

Bette:  “Have I told you how sexy you are right now?”

Harmony:  “Actually I think you have.”

Bette:  “Well let me say it again.  You are soooo sexy right now.”

Harmony giggled.

Harmony:  “Have I told you how much I love you?”

Bette:  “Not in the last hour.”

Harmony:  “Damnit.  Gotta catch up.  I love you, I love you, I love you.”

She gave Bette pecks on the cheek, forehead, and lips between each ‘I love you’.

Bette:  “You certainly know how to play catch up.  Do you know the things I would do to you if we were home?”

Harmony:  “Tell me.”

Bette began to whisper in Harmony’s ear as people just watched and shook their heads.
