    Another Look Inside

Before Harmony could even address what had just happened it was 830 and all the women were flooding into the house. The baccalaureate party was going to be held in the house, Harmony’s in the living room, Bette’s in the dinning room. They pushed furniture aside and constructed a full on bar in the foyer between the two rooms. Neither woman was in the mood much to party and every time Harmony tried to cross the room to reach Bette either someone stopped her or a stripper stepped in the way. She, unfortunately, could not enjoy it as she had planned. She had to find other methods to get Bette to marry her. So she came up with a plan. What was the best method for her to get information to the other end of the house? Hmmm….That would be information super highway numbers 1 and 2… The two had become close over the past few days, more then likely because the two tried their hardest to out-talk each other. A competitive drive fueled them; the need for gossip sustained them.

    Harmony: “D! D! Come here.”

D: “What’s up girl? Having fun. Are there some hotties in here or what?!”

Harmony hated to put her business in the streets but it was the only way.

    Harmony: “Yeah I guess.”

D: “You guess? What’s wrong with you? I just knew you’d be having the time of your life right now.”

Harmony: “It’s hard to do that knowing there may not be a wedding.”

D: “What are you talking about!? We got everything done today.”

Harmony: “I know I’m not talking about that….Bette called off the wedding.”

    D: “WHAT?!”

Harmony: “Shhhhhh! You can’t tell anyone, I’m confiding in you right now.” Yeah right.

D: “Ok, I’m sorry. It’s between me and you. What happened?”

Harmony: “We got into a fight about wedding gitters and me wanting to see the strippers.”

D: “That seems a big frivolous don’t you think.”

Harmony: “Yes I do but that doesn’t change how she feels.”

D: “Have you spoken to her?”

Harmony: “No! Every time I try to get across the room there’s a set of tits in my face.”

D: “That sooo does not sound like a problem to me.”

Harmony: “I need you to be serious for just one second please!”

D: “I’m sorry, really, that was stupid. So now what? There’s only like 10 hrs till the ceremony.”

Harmony: “I know. I don’t know what to do.”

Meanwhile Bette was having the same convo. She was angry, yes but by no means did she intend on actually not marrying Harmony. To top it off now she was terrified because she thought maybe Harmony didn’t want to marry her. Why else wouldn’t she have come over by now? She knew just who to talk to….

Bette: “So that’s what happened Alice. I’m really scared.”

Alice: “So just talk to her.”

Bette: “I can’t, I’m the one who’s angry, she should be over here by now.”

Alice: “True but if you want her you have to tell her that.”

Bette: “Not until she at least apologizes.”

Alice: “Want me to talk to her?”

Bette: Bingo! “Awww no I’m too ashamed, I know how private she can be too. I just hope we can work it out in time for the wedding.”

Bette/Harmony: “Let’s just leave it up to her to come over and work it out.”

    D/Alice: “I agree.”

    …And as they walked away.

    Bette/Harmony: Done

Alice and D tried their hardest to stay away from each other the rest of the night but it was burning them up inside. They had to tell someone. And as Bette and Harmony received their traditional lap dances with two of the saddest faces a girl ever did see, they knew what they had to do. They both went to get a drink. As D approached the table made bar so did Alice.

    D: “Hey Al.”

Alice: “Ohh hey D. How’s it going in there?”

D: “Umm, great. You know. How bout over there?”

Alice: “You know, T & A, what’s not to like right?”

    They both laughed nervously.

    D: “Yeah…”

    Alice: “Yeah…”

    Silence

Alice: “Your girl looks a lil glum in there, what’s up?”

D: “That’s classified yours doesn’t look much better.”

Alice: “Those records are also sealed.”

D: “Hate to divulge confidential information.”

    Alice: “I know.”

    Silence

D: “What if it kinda slipped out?”

    Alice: “I’m listening.”

D: “Well this is a party right? We’re drinking and partying. Things have a way of escaping to the light in these situations.”

    Alice: “What’s your poison?”

Just like that they began to hammer away the shots. Before long they were telling everything.

    D: “…so now she’s all upset.”

Alice: “Bette’s just angry. She loves Harmony, and I know…I know she does. I know what it looks like.”

    D: “Yeah?”

Alice: “I’ve been watching. I see the looks. She hasn’t looked at anyone like that since Tina.”

D: “Tina, Tina? Which one is that again?”

    Alice pointed.

    Alice: “Her.”

D: “Ohhh the one with Roxy all night. Roxy’s not even supposed to be on that side.”

Alice: “True….Anyway, what do we do now about our girls?”

D: “We gotta get them talking.”

    Alice: “How?”

    D: “Um…I dunno. Let’s think.”

    They sat and pondered.

Alice: “I got it! What the one thing they love besides each other?”

    D: “Angelica?!”

    Alice: “After that.”

    D: “Their jobs!?”

    Alice: “No…after that!.”

    D thought for a second.

    D: “This house!”

Alice: “Precisely! Lets go tare shit up!”

They both walked into the kitchen and found the loudest and most expensive items they could find, counted to 3 and…

    Bette/Harmony: “WHAT THE HELL?!”

Alice and D laughed hysterically and ran away just as the other two women walked in.

    Bette: “What’s going on here?”

Harmony: “That’s what I’m trying to figure out”

    Bette: “My vase!”

Harmony: “The glass bowl we got from Rhode Island! Damnit! I’m gonna kick someone’s ass.”

Bette: “Babe calm down we can get another one.”

Harmony: “That’s not the point….wait. Babe? You’re talking to me now?”

Bette: “You’re the one not talking to me.”

Harmony: “You’re the one that called the wedding off.”

Alice and D watched in the wings.

    D: “Doesn’t sound too good.”

    Alice: “At least they’re talking.”

D: “True. I guess our work here is done.”

They gave each other a silent high five.

    Alice: “Wanna go make out?”

    D: “Cool.”

Bette: “Cuz you’d rather ogle strange women then me.”

Harmony: “I would not rather ogle them…Would not rather? I must be drunk. Anyway…I said I wanted to take part in the pre-wedding traditions. That’s because you’re the last woman I’ll ever see naked. You’re also the last woman I’d ever want to see naked.”

    Bette: “Really?”

    Harmony: “Of course.”

    Silence.

Harmony: “So I guess we should tell everyone that…”

Bette: “That they should be on time tomorrow.”

    Harmony: “Huh?”

Bette: “Firecracker I’m sorry. I never meant for you to feel I didn’t want to marry you. I guess I’m a little overwhelmed. Everything’s been moving so fast and all.”

Harmony: “I understand. I’m sorry for being insensitive.”

    Bette: “Forgive me?”

Harmony: “Only if you forgive me.”

    Bette: “Deal.”

And with that they shared a kiss.

Bette: “Now what do you say we skip the rest of this party and head upstairs so I can give you a personal strip show?”

Harmony: “Could never say no to that.”

Bette: “But remember! You can look but you can touch. Save that for the honey moon tomorrow night.”

    Harmony: “Ugggh! Fine. Let’s go.”

Meanwhile Tina and Roxy sat to the side and shared drink, after drink, after drink. And the ideas and feelings they shared felt more and more relatable, understandable and feasible. The wedding day was going to prove to be very interesting.

    1. OKkkkky… That was one way to get em talking!!!.lol..and whats this with Tina & Roxy…interesting!…So we`re going to a wedding…at last!…Im sorry your thinking of ending these snippits of there lives…really enjoyed them, but i guess if your finishing them up…the wedding is the place to do it…Tho personally id like to see you continue…but whatever you decide ..hope to read more of your stuff again soon….Thanks..

    2. Glad that little drama was dashed. What is up with Tina & Roxy? I thought she was happily cohabitating with Hellry…I mean Henry. Will there be more drama when Bette sees this? And Harmony sees Bette’s reaction? I mean Tina going back to women will have an effect on Bette…right? And no…you cannot end this story…your contract isn’t up yet.

    3. Guess I’m the lone Bette and Tina hold out (especialy if Tina is going back to women); I couldn’t see her and Roxy hooking up and she would be in the same position Bette was in when they 1st started to date. Hey, its your story- just throwing my 2 cents in that I’d like for Bette and Tina to get back together.

    4. Vibes – I’m glad you’re back! So just a little drama, but our girls made it through. I don’t know if i like Tina and Roxy but I’ll deal as long as Harm and Bette are happy and those two don’t stir up any trouble during the wedding.
