What are you doing here?” Josh asked with a confused look on the accountant’s face, his chest jumped as the bullets entered and exited, a trail of blood seeping down his white cotton shirt. She lowered the gun as he fell to his knees, Josh’s face still registering surprise. It had to be done, she thought as she filed quietly out of the room the accountant quietly gasping his last breath on the floor.

“What the fuck?” Bette said staring at the accountant’s lifeless body, the brunette inched up to Josh knowing he was dead but not believing her eyes. He lay on his arm, the blood from his chest pooling on the carpet beneath him. The brunette saw four bullet holes and the singe marks from the blasts that still oozed slowly.

Bette hit the parking lot in a frenzy, tapping the key fob and spinning wildly, walking up and down the lanes looking for what ever piece of crap that fool was driving. A small wooping sound told the brunette she was coming to the right vehicle, Bette walked up to the silver Lincoln Navigator with the windows already smashed in. The brunette screamed in anger and kicked the tire of the accountant’s truck in frustration. Someone else wanted the exact thing Bette was looking for and the brunette was fifteen minutes too late.

What did you find?” The agent asked, Alice loving this moment of tension and anticipation.

“All of the equipment on these pages is directly related to a disease…hemophilia, it’s a blood disorder and I think this is the condition Shane has. It would explain all of the blood at the scene, and if she doesn’t have it then Kit has to but that wouldn’t make any sense. Why go through a front company to buy this stuff when she can just go to a fucking doctor?” The writer was rambling and Dana had to stop her,

“Jenny is awake, the nurse said she’s stable so I want to get over there as soon as possible to ask her some questions…Can you meet me at Mercy West; 3:00?” Dana asked wondering if Alice was still interested in the case, the agent knew the stress of two jobs was getting to the writer and Dana couldn’t blame Alice if the writer said she wanted to stay at her own office.

    3. What a wonderful surprise to see this story posted again! It had been one of my favorites (especially the B/T dynamic). I remember! Not your favorite! Every character has a little something to pull us in though, and it was like picking up a good book you’d thought you’d lost. Thanks for continuing!!!!!!
