Around The Bend
Well this is a poker party Shane-Style. Shane offered smiling as she looked around the room noting that everybody except them had a date. Or at least found one once they arrived.
Yea well, i guess things are always more exciting Shane-Style. Tina said sounding like a seven-year-old whos cat just got run over by the neighbors drunken son.
Actually Im over compensating for something. Shane proclaimed looking at Dana who was inches away from Alices face.
Ooh, for what? Tina said sipping on her drink. She didnt actually miss having alcohol, but she did hate being the only sober one in all of LA.
Um, well for being dateless tonight. And for getting dumped. Knowing it wasnt the greatest time to bring it up, Shane ignored the thought and continued to push. I know what you went through must have felt like ***** and i just wanted to say that…i never sleep so feel free to use me at your advantage anytime. Shane said perking up a bit. She had adding the last bit to cheer up Tina and to block out any hidden feelings that were beginning to surface.
Thanks, i know youre there and all. And this party is a great escape, im really glad you invited me. Tina said, her smiling growing and her and Shane carelessly chatted among themselves.
Well actually i needed somebody to spin the twister board when me and somebody play naked twister. Unless of course you would like to join? Shane offered pulling the board from under the counter. Tina blushed and her and Shane continued to joke and laugh even as Jennys date spilled her drink all over the carpet.
Well unless i get one hand on blue and whole body on every other color, Im not playing. Shane put the game back under the counter and re-poured herself another glass of vodka on the rocks.
Give me a marker, ten minutes, and a dictionary and thats exactly what the game will spell! Tina giggled.
You know Shane, no offense, but you really were the last person i thought would make me feel better. But you really did and Im grateful for our friendship. Shane smiled, Tina was a great friend and it wasnt hard holding a conversation with her. Shane enjoyed talking with Tina, about anything, except Bette.
