As Good As It Gets – Chapter 18

"Alright everyone that was great! Lets take a half hour break and then we’ll work on the first three sets again"

Tina wiped the sweat from her brow as she walked over to the other end of the dance studio, breathing heavily and drenched in sweat. She almost forgot how hard Sam liked to push her dancers, a trait Tina always respected and liked. She enjoyed the high she got from pushing her body to the limit, not to mention Sam’s amazing choreography.
Though the last few weeks were a little uncomfortable, Tina was thankful that Sam kept their interactions to a minimal and as professional as possible. She could see the sad gleam in Sam’s eyes and the longing that lingered there but at least her ex wasn’t acting on it. It probably had a lot to do with the fact that Bette attended each rehearsal but either way, Tina was glad for the bit of peace she received.
Tina grabbed a sports bottle of ice cold water from her duffel bag and threw her head back to down the refreshing liquid, closing her eyes at the wonderful sensation. It felt so good going down her dry throat, quenching her thirst and revitalizing her entire body.
    "Tina?"
The blonde opened an eye to see Sam walking over to her, finishing the last of her bottle with a gasp. Her cheeks were still flushed and though she was somewhat tired, Tina was able to force a small smile.
    "Hey"
"Hey . . umm, can I talk to you?" Sam nervously approached the blonde, rubbing the back of her neck. She was just as tired and sweaty but her heart was pounding for an entirely different reason.
"Sure, what’s up?" Tina asked with some hesitation, hitting her palm on the top of the bottle.
"I just umm . . I just wanted to apologize"
"That was months ago, don’t worry about it. Its fine" Tina shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. Her mind was swimming with all the possibilities of where Sam was headed with her conversation but Tina didn’t want to encourage anything. She just wanted to get away as fast as possible.

    1. Ugh, BETTE!!! Why didn’t she tell Tina before, when there was still plenty of time? Why? Oh well, even though Bette broke her promise, I want to see what Ava could possibly use out of that confrontation to try and split them up. Ava needs… a hobby. Maybe a hug, and someone to set her straight. Someone whose opinion matters to her. Is there any such person in her life? She also needs an ass-kicking, though, so screw the hug and the life lessons and I hope her uppance is coming! ;P Thanks for the post, Liah! :)

    2. trouble is brewing for sure. i know how it feels like to feel guilty carrying some secret like that. sooner or later, the truth will come out. an angry tina is quite scary but hopefully, she will understand why bette broke her promise. don’t we all want to throttle ava?

    3. Thanks for another update Liah!! :-) its amazing as always… And I don’t know why suddenly I feel so thankful that you have Ava snow in this story… Maybe because there are so many of Ava’s traits and behavior that I personally very seldom met!! It’s a good way to do some reflection and be thankful for what I’ve got :-)… And OMG… Bette?!? You haven’t tell Tina at all?!? Ugh!!.. Sniff.. I smell trouble in the air! PPVS Liah! And thank you!! :-)

    4. Oh my goodness!!! ava is up to no good and probably has a rude surprise waiting for Tina at Madison Square Garden. For goodness sake don’t let ava do anything to hurt Tina or spoil her show until after the show and don’t let her hurt Tina at all, anywhere. Let someone whip ava’s little behind and leave her in the dust where she belongs. Probably the only person ava would listen to would be one of her parents, maybe. She shouldn’t be allowed to take her jealousy out on Tina and Bette shouldn’t tell Tina anything until after the show at the Garden. I’m holding my breath hoping that nothing happens. Thanks for posting.
