    shane and carmen are making out in the early morning hours when their phone rings. carmen begins to pull
    away and shane held her tighter

    carmen: baby stop what if its an emergency.

    shane:im an emergency

    carmen: shut up.(hitting her playfully)

    shane groans and burries her head into her pillow.

    carmen: hello(groggy)…..o my god are you serious??

    shanes head jerks up. looking at carmen with concern. carmen looks at her with a blank expression. shane sits
    up in bed and wraps her arms around her trying to read her wife.

    carmen: like its 4:30 in the am what the fuck do you want? (mouthing its alice to shane)

    shane rolls her eyes and groans loudly showing her anger. carmen rubs her shoulders and kisses her

    alice: whats going on with you two weirdo’s? no one has seen you two in like years…

    carmen rolls her eyes

    carmen: years alice? really

    alice: thats what it seems like

    Dana: god al, who are you on the phone with this early

    alice: gotta go

    carmen: thanks dana (yelling into the phone)

    shane rolls onto her side and rubs carmens leg. carmen slides down into the bed snuggling into shane.

    shane: whats wrong with your friend alice?

    carmen: you tell me, you knew her way before i did

    they laugh as they drift off into sleep. carmen has more bouts of with morning sickness but shane is
    right there with her to comfort her. as the few weeks before their announcment drag on they feel themselves becomming
    closer than they were before. shane begins to open up to carmen about her past like never before. the night that they
    were going to announce their pregnancy finally arrived.

    carmen: you nervous love? (moving around the kitchen getting everything ready)

    shane: nope…(grabbing carmens waist)

    carmen looks at her strangly

    carmen: how could you not be nervous?

    shane: well since your mom already knows for me the pressure is off.

    carmen: baby, you are so right. that was the one i was worried about.

    shane: see baby no worries.( she rubs the small bump thats beginning to form on carmen’s stomach)

    they both smile as they hear a knock on the door.

    carmen: shit what time is it.

    Shane: we still have an hour

    3. Heheh. Alice never figured it out. It was a good thing Mercedes had already figured it out. But even if she hadn’t, I’m sure she would have still been thrilled to have a grandchild. Sweet update. :)
