“Hayaku!” he called to her and kept running, even though she had stopped to catch her breath.

”Imouto…” he chuckled. “Am I being too hard on you, Shane-chan?”

She drowsily opened her eyes and rubbed them with the heels of her hands. The dream was fading and she couldn’t quite remember what it had been about. Instead she looked confused at Carmen who was asleep on the floor next to her, wearing a weird-looking necklace that Shane had never seen before. But the sight of it did ring a bell somewhere in the back of her head…

A few feet away were Dana and Alice, also asleep with their arms around each other. As she looked around the rest of the room she saw Bette and Tina, Jenny, Robin, Marina, Lara, Kit, Mark, Gomey, Candace, Toxic-*****-Tonya, that ***** Gabby, Lisa, Cherie…

She stopped counting. The room was full of people she knew, most of them her closest friends, but also some people she’d hoped she’d never have to see ever again. They were all asleep, wearing necklaces like Carmen’s. Shane lifted her hands to her own throat and realized she was wearing one too, then put them in her pockets looking for her cell phone. It wasn’t there.

“*****,” she said to herself. What was going on? Where were they? The room seemed like a classroom with a blackboard and desks and everything.

“Carmen?” she said softly and tried to wake her girlfriend up. “There’s something going on, come on, baby, open your eyes.” Shane nervously glanced around the room again; something was really, really wrong. In the corner of her eye she saw Bette sitting up and looking around, just like she was doing herself.

“Shane?” She heard Carmen’s voice behind her and turned her head around.

“Where are we?” Carmen yawned and raked a hand through her hair. “Whoa, my head hurts like *****, what did we do last night?”

“I don’t remember *****,” Shane replied and watched as Dana and Alice woke up, followed by Tina, Jenny and Mark. Bette stood up and took a more thorough look around the room.

“I don’t remember coming here either,” she said, looking at Shane and Carmen. She ran over to the door and tried to pull it open, but it was locked. “We’re stuck in here,” she said angrily. “Someone did this…”
