Bette’s Pov- As I was relaxing in the jacuzzi-I couldn’t help the strong gaze I was receiving from Alice. I went from being close to Tina to suddenly becoming uncomfortable. I could’t relax with Alice watching me, personally, the whole time.

“Do you want to go somewhere?”

“Where?” Tina asked.

I became happy once I knew that she trusted me.

“Anywhere…”

I couldn’t help gazing up at the window again. My eyes challenged Alice’s. I was trying to figure out what she was thinking, while being respectful to Tina. I could see that by my lack of not paying attention too well she became a little nervous. She was watching Alice too.

” I have this place I go to not too far from here. It’s in the valley.”

The valley. I’ve heard it to be far and filled with mostly elderly people. It was a good place to hide out in, if you had wanted to be free from some of your problems. I’m guessing I’ll be testing that theory out…for sure.

“Okay, lets go…”

I toss our empty bottles in the trash and carefully help her out of the jacuzzi. She shivered as the wind picked up speed. It was a bit cooler now that the sun had gone down. I too became a little chilled.

“Wow. I see the weather changed a bit.”

“Yeah. It’s known to change a lot out here.”

As we were making our way back towards the house. I stopped her before she got to the door.

“T…”

“Yes?” She turns around and faces me.

I chuckle. I’m nervous as to what her marital status may be. I’m hoping she’s single, because going somewhere alone with her could only complicate the situation. I need to know what I’m working with.

“What is it?” She askes me.

I could tell by the tone of her voice that she cared. Although she played hard to get in the pool earlier, she presented before me this sensitive side that I was eager to encounter. She shows me affection by touching my cheek. Her hand was warm and smooth against my face. I couldn’t control the my emotions as I began to blush in front of her without even knowing I was doing it. I was so in to her. The house, the pool, the jacuzzi, and the newly planted green grass disappeared before me. All I could see was her. And, all I could feel was her touch. My lips formed in to a smile and she hadn’t said anything, but ask me a question. How could I explain that. Except say…I’m in love.
