Recap (Chapters Six & Seven):
Dr. Wilson: Bette, Tina…I’m afraid I have some bad news.
Bette’s heart started to sink when she heard the doctor’s words.
Bette: What’s wrong?
Dr. Wilson: I didn’t want to give a final diagnosis before consulting with another doctor and worry you. But after running a few tests and doing a few more ultra sounds we found that the twins have what it called TTTS.
Tina: What it that?
Dr. Wilson: its Twin-twin transfusion syndrome-conjoined fetal twins. They are connected by blood vessels in the placenta; meaning one twin is getting too much blood and the other not enough…which is endangering both. It’s a very serious condition.

Dr. Wilson was doing an ultra sound; when she realized something seemed wrong. She just got the results from the labs and was looking over them.
Dr. Wilson: Dr. Phillips.
Dr. Phillips came in quickly.
Dr. Phillips: What is it?
Dr. Wilson: The labs confirm what look like abnormalities on the ultra sound.
Dr. Phillip: Bette after running a few more tests; we found bilateral pleural effusion with evidence of sub Q edema.
Bette: What the hell does that mean?
Dr. Phillips: We detected what looks like beginning heart failure in the twins.
Bette: What?!
Dr. Phillips: We will have to take you into surgery immediately. Dr. Wilson please book the OR now!

Nurse: Excuse me; are you Tina Kennard?
Tina quickly turned around.
Tina: Yes I am. Where’s Bette?
Nurse: Ms. Porter was taken into emergency surgery.
Tina: What?!
The nurse explained to Tina that the twins were going into heart failure and needed to be operated on immediately if there was any chance of them surviving.
Nurse: The doctors will be out to talk to you as soon as they can.

Alice: It’s going to be okay Tina…
Tina: You don’t know that Alice!
Dr. Wilson came out still wearing her scrubs; she saw Tina and walked over to her.
Dr. Wilson: Tina?
Tina immediately jumped up when she heard the doctor’s voice.
Tina: How is she? Are they okay?
Dr. Wilson smiled.
Dr. Wilson: She’s fine…and so are the twins. They surgery went smoothly and was a successes.
